Day 3 Tournament Games
-
Florida looks good right now.
Wisconsin and Florida will be a good game.
-
@truehawk93 yep KSU OSU ISU out.
-
Zags days numbered? They are following their conference fools gold season with NWestern?
-
Was really hoping NW would end them
-
@approxinfinity Crazy game. Don’t think Zags meant to go up through the rim, but dang. The Zags still played well.
-
To Sweet 16:
2 Big 10, 2 Big East, 1 Big 12, 1 Pac 12, 1 WAC, 1 SEC
Still left to decide:
1 Big 12 vs Big 10
1 Big 12 vs Pac 12
1 ACC vs SEC
1 ACC vs Big 10
1 ACC vs SEC
1 PAC 12 vs AAC
1 PAC 12 vs Atlantic 10
1 SEC vs MVC
-
WSU and UK? Oh boy…Can the Shox shock the Cats?
-
Virginia went from 5:08 left in 1st half to 17:42 left in 2nd without scoring.
Sat at 17…for ever.
-
@BShark Kind of like we do when we make up names like ratzo, Calislimy, squeaky, etc?
-
Josh Heart is the main competition and now he is out with no chance to improve his stock.
-
@approxinfinity if that goaltending is called, nw might have done it
-
So, the top of the B12 still alive.
-
@truehawk93 I thought NW outplayed them and exposed them. Baby unicorn is soft, Treer is mercurial, seemed they struggled mightily to score for stretches. And their D was slow picking up.
-
@approxinfinity Fraid you’re right.
-
I want to like Zags, but I can’t believe they are too real as they advance into some real teams.
Seth Davis said it best. I like Seth Davis.
Zags and WVU? LOL…I have WVU over the Zags.
-
@truehawk93 errgh I’m getting my soft one seeds confused! You see what I think of Arizona as well bedtime.
-
Oh BTW…Obama picked UNC to win it all.
-
Purdue had 27 assists to 31 points? WOW
-
@BShark Yet their coach respects the HELL out of Self and the KU program. And I respect the HELL out of Izzo.
-
Reggie Upshaw with Mid Ten looks like and plays a little like Perry Ellis, weird.
-
#2 beats #7 St Marys by single digits? Zona? It took their footer to hit record 3s? Zona already having issues?
-
Ya, top of the B12 still fighting. Baylor, as much as I like to dunk&tea-bag on ScotDrew, do have some legit wins, over teams not coached by DollarBill Self. (haha, tell those MichSt fans that he isnt “dollar Bill”, but $52mil-Bill…get their facts right.)
KU and WVU and Baylor are all top10 teams.
-
@ralster Let’s hope each of these top B12 teams rep the conference as consistent as the season or better.
-
Would Duke go after Jay Wright as a coach once Krzyzewski retires? Sure, they would. Wouldnt KU, if Self bolted for NBA? Jay would fit into UCLA also. I think Calipari fits KY perfectly (I mean that both good and bad-innuendo). Jay Wright could go to UNC also.
But, this early flame-out hopefully isnt a return to non-final4-caliber endings for Jay.
-
Xavier and Zona may be as interesting as the Nova game.
-
@ralster Something tells me this may be Coach K’s final season after his little bout, maybe maybe not.
-
JJ gets to play against Winston and Bridges. Oh boy…this should be very interesting.
Listened to Izzo’s interview and as always provided some classy input for the game. He used the term “battle tested” for his team. He mentioned playing Dook and UK during the season. I’m sure he was referring to KU playing both teams and beating both teams. KU is “battle tested.” Izzo smartly referred to experience over talent. He was clear that experience matters and his team was young. But I guarantee he will bring his guys in with nothing to lose at all. They will leave it all on the court against KU. I don’t know what the Miami game did to MSU, but either they played one of the best games of their season, or they will be put out or wore down from the MIami game. Let’s see what they bring against KU. Also, Miles Bridges mentioned KU’s bigs being deeper than their bench. I hope Bragg and Coleby continue to raise their games in this game and going forward. It’s clear we will need them.
-
I think there are former Duke players, just as there are former KU players, that are in coaching, but still at various early stages of their careers. I dont think any former Dukies or former Jhwks are “ready” to take over their alma maters. I’m leaving Jeff Capel off the list, as he’s had his chances. Danny isnt ready. Turgeon isnt ready, and I dont think he ever will be. Haase isnt ready. Vaughn?
-
@ralster Chris Collins is heir apparent at Duke, I think.
-
@mayjay Obviously, I’m far more interested in coaching changes at the fellow bluebloods, and the Big12, than other schools. Yes, will be very interesting to see who succeeds Coach K. And Roy. Tough acts to follow.

Yeah that just makes it weirder really.
