Wrap this trophy up in a Crimson and Blue ribbon and send it to Lawrence; Care of Head Coach Bill Self!!
ROCK CHALK!! 13 STRAIGHT!
-
And Rece and Jay just agreed that Frank is the NPOY.
-
@Lulufulu let’s win one or 2 more first. Don’t be a @drgnslayr
-
Somehow I just knew Scot Drew would play an integral part in helping us…woohoo!
-
13 is, for all practical purposes, locked up. The toughest game by far is at Stoolwater. Almamateritis has always plagued Bill there and its time to get a W there - the last time was 2013.
-
@HawkChamp last year we started diallo, Evans was Has he been as good this year?
-
@Crimsonorblue22 very good. I think we should make it a half court grind it out game.
-
I say rest Frank on Wednesday. No need getting additional minutes with selection sunday being a few weeks away.

I want what they are smoking

@HawkChamp Man, I gave you a +1 for that priceless “Stoolwater”. Believe it or not, I’ve never seen that before. Almamater-itis, yes, we all wonder…
Stoolwater, OK, despite T.Boone’s billions…
-
Swanigan is going to be a 1st team All-American and is absolutely in the mix for NPOY with 3 weeks left (including the conference tournaments).
I agree that it should be Frank right now with Monk, Ball, Hart, and Swanigan in the conversation as well.
-
@HawkChamp stoolwater… PHOF!
-
@BeddieKU23 I, as you probably know, watch a lot of Big10 ball. He’s a beast. Not sure if he’s more beastly than Frank though, but I can see him getting some votes. Interestingly, when the kid was 13 he was 6’3" and 360 pounds. Someone spoke some confidence into him and whipped him into shape.
-
@wissox great story!

He’s a very good player. What a smart move to come back. I see him in the top 5 for the wooden watch and he should be there. He’s a great story of how a person can change their life around. POY No freaking way

and No. 1 in RPI now, for what it is worth:

So has this win now put us in the driver’s seat for not only a number 1 seed, but perhaps the number seed? Of course there is still work to do. And… I’m not sure I even wanna be number one overall… However, let’s say theoretically we win out in conference. Or perhaps 3-1(okie state) and then win or make the conference tournament championship. Certainly that could be as many as 5 losses… hopefully not more than that. Thoughts on this?
-
@cragarhawk Nah, Gonzaga. If they go into the tournament still undefeated, they will probly get the #1 over all.
-
@cragarhawk we would have to win out regular season and win the conference tournament to be overall number one. Possible but I don’t think that happens
-
@Lulufulu the committee had them as the fourth number one and Villanova and KU haven’t lost since then. They will be a one seed but not overall number one.
-
@HawkChamp hell yah KU is a one seed. As long as we can play games in KC, its all good. that’s basically home court advantage mid way thru the tourney
-
Agree. They were the fourth #1 seed and probably will stay that way since it is highly unlikely the lose one game before the tournament; however, the weakness of their conference schedule hurts them big time.
-
@HawkChamp but did you think we’d beat Baylor? I say we beat osu, unless coach rests everyone. I don’t think he’d do that
-
My agreement was in regards to Gonzaga not being the overall number one. I think the overall number one will be between KU and Nova, they both have strong cases as of today…but things could change…
-
@Crimsonorblue22 honestly, I didnt. Bill Self has a strong case of chronic almamateritis, so a W there is not expected. It would be nice, but I don’t see it.
