KU ROSTER 2026-27
-
I am excited to watch our team play today. This era of college sports is frustrating, but its always nice to be able to set stories about recruiting and NIL on the backburner and just watch some actual basketball.

I heard a rumor that Bill Self is planning on utilizing a starting lineup of Melvin Council, Trent Perry, Kohl Rosario, Paul Mbiya, and Christian Reeves. He plans on benching Stokes and Kinney so they can learn from the veterans. I also heard that Self is too stubborn to ever make changes so there is no chance Stokes cracks the starting lineup at any point this year.
Joke right?
-
@Kcmatt7 Yes it was a joke. The real rumor I heard was that Self plans on starting Council, Will Thangvall, Trent Perry, Atticus "Finch" Richmond, and Grant Mordini. He will begrudgingly allow Rosario and Mbiya to play spot minutes off the bench.

Mordini! There ya go. You finally got to the last shot from the bottle!

-
I'm about halfway through. When I start saying Mordini will go #1 in the NBA draft you'll know I've reached the bottom of the bottle
-
We are still in play for a big man

We got our big man He has a connection to the men's basketball team but it's on the lady's side -
Looks like Self is trying to go all out and retire after a Final Four trip.
-
Before I get my hopes up, what are the odds that White, Council, and TKR all remain eligible?
-
Nice! But what a historically odd year.
So anybody know how this affects the roster? I heard something about Mordini being hurt, but what does that matter?

-
This team is stacked lol. Need the courts to stay on our side
-
I found a vegas sports book thats +5000 on ku to win the national championship if these guys stay eligible imma drop 250 on it
-
@rcjhdraft man if they stay eligible we running 10 deep line up
-
He unquestionably makes them better... but if you don't like flopping in basketball...you won't like TKR. He's borderline unwatchable for me. If he plays this season I'll have to deal with throw up in my mouth again just like I did with Dickerson. No fun.

Tre White is pretty floppy too, definitely embellishes contact. Unethical hoops...but productive.

Well, it's a strong starting line-up, but how does HCBS deal with the locker room and likely very pissed off guys? Assume start TKR, Dawes, White, Stokes and Council with ~30 minutes each? Means limited minutes for Blyden, Kinney, Reeves, Mbiya, Parker, Rosario, Barnett and Adkins - 50 minutes total for those guys? Or does HCBS split Reeves/Mbiya at the 5, TKR and Dawes at the 4 (with one occasionally at the 5 in smaller lineups), White and Parker/Rosario at the 3, Stokes almost always at the 2, with some minutes for Blyden, and Council at the point with Kinney and Blyden backing up? Garbage time for Barnett and Adkins?
