  @BeddieKU23 he literally is and even against top 10 teams on the road won more than he’s lost by a decent amount. In season big games, he wins at a clip that I’m 99% is the highest among active coaches.

  You can’t be too deep in thought and expect to play well. “Think and react” translates to “slow and stiff.” He has to learn to bypass that part of the mind. Use his mind on the court only to stimulate an immediate response. He’ll play faster, be loose, and achieve his potential if he can do this. I suggest he learn to meditate and then first apply it at practice. Once he figures it out, bring it to a game. He can get himself in an altered state that limits his brain function and helps him focus on play.

  @DCHawker 80th in 2pt% in the country as a team. Torvik shows 66% as a team on close 2’s. Hoop explorer shows 63% on layup/dunks. Mitch and CB are the only individuals shooting 60% or higher on their 2’s. Jalen (59%), Och (56%), Coleman-Lands (56%), KJ (55%). Dave, Remy, Harris all under 50% on 2’s overall. Och has the highest % of shots made at the rim (75%). No surprise there. Dave (56%) & Remy (53%) are the worst at the rim. Dave & Mitch combine to get 11.7% of their shots blocked at the rim. That’s just crazy bad.

  @Texas-Hawk-10 Joe with coaches confidence can do three major things better than Harris. stop dribble penetration get into the paint (we saw the lobs to McCormack in Orlando the second he came in) shoot it better than Harris He isn’t Frank but he can do everything Harris is doing at a better level if given the confidence. Clemence is bad defensively but better offensively. We are bad with Mitch on d so at least have some O. Traylor - great points I thought he played more you’re right on here I double checked Recruits - if they don’t get the leash they won’t develop and 10-12 games in self will say should have played them more. It’s a cycle. He wins and manages but the blowout losses are exposing some cracks. Zuby - saw highlights - his jumper looks identical to trob. 6-8 215…trob 6-8 222. Both plenty athletic can run rim to rim. Trob had some offensive skill the game was too fast. I remember a move at missery on the block he did and traveled but it was nice and you could tell he’s close to getting it. Pair that with his 12-15 foot jumper and he was money. I see similarities in body style and play just need a little time.

  @Crimsonorblue22 No I don’t think what he does well would have been valued here. Maybe he gets more PT with the coaching change now. He was their only big that did much of anything down low against that 2some of Banchero & Williams. One play that stuck out was he drove baseline on Williams the monster shot blocker and pinned him on the backboard while reversing to get an athletic layup. Also got fouled (actually absolutely clobbered) on a running start play where he tried to take the rim off only to get taken out in mid air and Williams blocked it from behind. No foul on the play, way too much contact for play on imo. That game was getting awful chippy

  Something that may be 100% true is that everyone involved in this process is frustrated at the lack of a resolution. This has clearly gone past its due date and the milk is chunky and sour now.

  We are the college version of the KC Chiefs. We don’t know if our defense will show up, and usually it doesn’t matter because we just need the last 13 seconds to go our way! BTW: I’m not bragging about this. I’ve learned… being this kind of team eventually catches up to you. Hope I’m wrong about us and the Chiefs! GO Chiefs! Never thought I would give Cal a compliment… but he has found a way to utilize Oscar much better than Huggy Bear did. I was always shocked why Oscar wasn’t performing day in and day out like he does now when he was at WVU. I wonder what the WVU blog says about Oscar now! Maybe he just needed to play for an elite program and feel elite. I expect this game will be won through two key factors: who controls pace and possessions. Oscar is going to get his rebounds… no stopping that, but can we still win the glass as a team effort? The key for us is people like CB go in there and get his 5 or 6 boards. Same for others. Chai needs to grab 5 or 6. And our secret weapon for this game needs to be Jalen… especially on the glass! He can easily be the guy that flips the stat sheet to a Kansas victory on the glass! To be honest… the matchup I want to see in the paint is Oscar vs KJ! This is a game our team needs to value possessions. It is downright pathetic when we have high TOs on our home court, especially if we play a lot of minutes with two PGs. I don’t usually get on Dajuan’s ass… but he needs to be sharp in this game and limit his TOs… same for others. And when we make steals… we need runouts! Push tempo!
