  @JayHawkFanToo One would have to question Selfs decision to keep him on staff if he can’t land a single recruit this year. That would put him with 0 for this current class and our freshmen guys.

  Just a thought. What if, God forbid, we get no real big name recruits this season? Would it really be that bad? I am thinking it really wouldn’t be. If we miss out and have a true “down season” next year, it would give HCBS a chance to have a “reload” similar to when he first arrived here. Here is why: It would allow us to guarantee some of these OAD top guys 30 minutes a game like they are looking for. A “down year” might light a new fire under Self. We are a little bit complacent at the moment. There is no threat to Bill’s job. No REAL question whether or not he can get the job done. A down year could put Bill under some actual scrutiny. Sometimes people need that pressure to truly thrive. We would have roster spots for some of these “package deals” that have become such a major trend. We could still be plenty competitive with next years squad. We would still be solid at the 1-2. And we would have a post presence in Bragg and hopefully a solid guy in Coleby. As well as a serviceable big in Lando to rotate. Is it a beautiful squad? No. But serviceable? Absolutely.

  @jaybate-1.0 I’m pretty sure the show “Naked and Afraid” started like this… as someone’s joke that was taken seriously by a production company. http://www.discovery.com/tv-shows/naked-and-afraid/videos/naked-hug-in-panama/ Yeah… I’m sure recruits would get hot for Kansas if they received a big naked hug from Self or one of his assistants. Maybe Snacks will come in handy… as a threat. Or we can always recruits coeds for the naked hugs… basically pulling a Louisville. Self can then be just like Pitino… left totally in the dark on what recruits do when they visit our school.

  Ive been to two games at AFH, home games. You can stay after the game and line up outside the locker rooms. I got all the teams to autograph a KU basketball for the price of the ball. Even when Wiggins was on the team. That was especially cool. Getting Wiggs and JoJo, the #1and#3 picks in the draft in '14. Its totally cool if no one can do this. Im just throwing it out there to see if anyone can hook me up. I don’t expect it at all.

  @jaybate-1.0 Solid Jaybate, very solid. I especially agree with your example of Travis. I hope you are right and I hope BG can pick up his handle and his D, or as you put it," when the neural nets grow in and they become full time D-1 players. BG needs to lose that wild hair. It would definitely open things up for us if Coach could rotate Frank and Devonte at PG. We wont see Frank and Devonte burn out/ wear down towards the end of the season when it counts if BG and Svi can spend productive time at the 2 on both sides of the ball. Selden got injured already? when?

  @jaybate-1.0 Martin “somehow” signed Jaylen Brown. Man, is that ever a curious SOMEHOW! And Cuonzo? I watched his progress at MO State. Also mighty curious, his trek from there to TN to the West Coast. The world of collegiate hoops must stay tuned to this theater.

  A question for Coach Self regarding ShoeCo influence would be: Coach Self, how would you rank in order from most to least the influence on recruiting: a.) ShoeCos; b.) agents and their agent runners, and c.) AAU coaches?
