  Underwood is a rock star, imo. He’s getting that 7 footer from St. Johns…Simas. Wow, Udoka vs Simas…that will be epic. Simas should be eligible right in time for Big 12 play next year.

  I’m seeing the worst thing about Udoka’s injury as affecting what kind of player he can be come next year. He is guaranteed to come back, now he’ll have a hell of a lot less experience and practice than he could have had. Really hurts his sophomore ceiling, imho. Free throws appear to the the achilles heel of this team. Could likely overcome some tough games in March with the inferior post play, but not when they are giving up this many points at the line as well. Happy Holidays to All.

  People keep saying that Devonte will leave but unless he picks it up, he will be back. So far, he has not played at the level I thought he would. We would have a terrific core next year with Graham, Vick, Carlton, Dok, Newman and maybe Svi. Add in our star recruits and we are a championship contender once again. Oh and can’t forget Coleby and Lightfoot!

  @globaljaybird I edited it. My wording reflected long time exposure to blood collections, where the donors are different… I had a bone graft before a dental implant using donor tissue. The oral surgeon made sure I knew where it came from–I had a choice between artificial, bovine, my own (i.e., from the hip), or donor tissue. He believed donor tissue was most effective, at least of the three that didn’t involve gouging my hip. In these cases I think it is actually ground up, the organic material is removed, and it is the minerals remaining that are packed into the bone cavity to form the substrate for your own bone tissue to form. And if I recall correctly, ultimately your body “resorbs” it and replaces it with your own tissue. Pretty weird stuff.

  @drgnslayr unfortunately, some people don’t believe in the reality you just described with great examples. Playing for a teammate and rallying around that most certainly has occurred and will occur in the future.

  @RockChalkinTexas I usually just read and don’t post, but I feel a special affinity for another woman on the site. I am so sorry for your loss. My Dad died just before Christmas a few years ago–doubly tough. I will remember you in my thoughts and prayers.

  @HawkChamp Josh Hart was not injured last year and played in every game and had a good championship game. He is much better now than he was last season much like Mason…he was good last year but he is the heart of this edition of the Jayhawks, you could replace him but the team would not be the same.

  @JayHawkFanToo The other part of it was Louisville did a great job of limiting transition. Kentucky did get a chunk of points pushing pace when they had the chance and they are the best in the country at doing this. This is why the UNC game was in their favor because of pace. When Lousiville could slow the pace for good chunks of the game, there were less possessions and Fox/Monk chucked a whole bunch of bricks (13/32) between them.
