Let’s be honest here. I’m not sure anybody expected Flory to turn into Dirk Nowitzki or something (I wish). Not even in 10 years. If you did, your expectations are likely off the mark.

He’s an athletic pogo stick without a ton of basketball skill. That’s ok. He just needs others around him to make him an asset — on offense at least.

It’s not gonna happen, but if he pulls a Sasha Khan and sticks around, I’d expect we’d see some growth in his post up game and general basketball skill.

I enjoy watching him swat back to back shots!

If he can catch a few lobs and put backs every game, maybe even a baseline spin move or two, I’m perfectly happy with that.

You can begrudgingly only have to sign up for November and December. Cancel before Xmas as the last plus game is the 22nd.

You fortunately missed really really bad audio. Halting. Stop and start. Annoying as hell.

Almost as annoying as Self forgetting every year that you need shooters. Hoping whatever’s up with Dawson resolves itself quickly and he can help.

Well, that was, uh, mmm, uh, unpleasant for awhile.

I will say the defense was pretty impressive at times.

On offense, we looked like The Island of Misfit Toys. Who’s gonna step up to be our consistent secondary scorer? I’m not seeing a 3pt outlet. Kohl does not appear to be the answer behind the arc so far.

Flory played? He looked disinterested, but still had 9 boards and some blocks.

Soooo happy Mbiya got some extended run. I hope he sticks around for a few years. He looks unseasoned for sure, but Nice to have a true big!!!

Council is a blur. A slightly unfocused blur, but a blur. I assume he’ll gather more purpose with the ball as the team gets used to each other.

Oddly they wouldn’t let me sign up on my desktop, but had to log in to my phone to see the ESPN+ plan. So effed up.

Hey, all. So, all of a sudden ESPN is making it impossible to figure out how to find and sign up for ESPN plus. Anybody done that recently and know how? Send a link?

I’ve done this for like 30 years and they’ve effed everything up! ha. I know they are pushing like ESPN Unlimited and bundles, but i just want to sign up again for the simple ESPN+ content.

Tiller is a lot more mobile then I anticipated. He showed some tantalizing skills and has legit size. Self throwing around that he could be a pro in the future is very interesting. His development this year seems like one of the main individual keys to this season.

He seemed eager to move around and mobile for sure. Maybe some of the offseason stories about him wanting to play wing with his size are throwing me off kilter!

I wrote the other day that Trey White seemed not as big or tall as I’d anticipated. Didn’t seem like he had the size to play down low when needed.

But, After rewatching the first half, I think the camera positions and angles made most of the guys look small. Kohl, too.

I have no idea why I think this after watching one game of Tiller, but he seems like he’s gonna be that love/hate player.

I just sense he and Self will be at odds. Weird, I know.

Honestly, what does it matter who coaches KU? Doesn’t seem to matter much.

But, we at least seem respectable at times with Lance. I’m in no hurry to rush him out the door.

(I do think he should have given other QBs a chance to right the ship today)

I can admit that buy in for me is going to be challenging with all the new, possibly temporary faces we have. Gonna take some time to learn their skills and personalities. We’re all used to the old way of 3-4 year player development.
