He's awesome but another year and he can work to expand that offensive game even more. I think that's what unlocks a higher draft grade. Interested to see if he can given He's still really young overall playing this game.
I really want to see yr 3 of him here, selfishly

@BeddieKU23 @rockchalk2025 if we have any chance of bringing flory and bryson back, absolutely priority 1 and 2 in that order. Even if it means we dont get 5 star freshman. Every transfer guard in the nation will want to play with those 2
-
I agree with that. It sounds like if KU lands Stokes it could be difficult to retain others. It's a really delicate situation coming up
-
@approxinfinity Flo really improved his throws, now he needs to work on jump shots! I feel like he could do it in another yr.
-
I'm seeing Flory mentioned more and more in mock drafts this year.
Good for him. I still think he's way undersized (no freaking way he's 6-10), and needs more offensive game to have a consistent NBA career.
we can dream, right? -
@approxinfinity we have seen this year how important getting the right guys in the portal is. We didn’t get the number 1 guy like Hunt or Storr. A lot of people questioned if Council could even play at this level. A lot of people weren’t high on Tre either. I remember reading on espn that we failed in the portal and would have a bad year again.
-
@rockchalkjayhawk that’s the always been a major issue with the NBA imo. They will draft off of potential but won’t give a lot of guys time to develop that potential. Would be hard for Flory to walk away if projected to be a first rounder because he is guaranteed 3 years under contract.

I agree that you keep what you know (Flory and Tiller) and let the 5* #1 ranked freshman with baggage go elsewhere. I think the situation with DP should be a wake up call that the prima donnas can be a blessing and a curse. I have read where there is a unique kind of muscle cramping that can occur in athletes that overexert that is not explained by dehydration, but by the neurological system misfiring. There is a strong possibility that footwear and the playing surface are affecting the legs’ fatigue more especially with rapid intense activity. There is research into how the neuromuscular fatigue could be lessened by real time monitoring and hopefully prevent the cramping by exposing the player in practice to similar surfaces that are played on during games. With real time monitoring the muscle fatigue could be objectively seen and in knowing the threshold for cramps to occur to have a player drink more fluids and rest before they arise. I would think that Adidas would be all over this and maybe they are, but if that is true, I would expect them to be shouting from the rooftops about how they are addressing this problem.

@kjayhawks2.0 at this point no way is Flory a first round pick in the draft/ an undersized both in height and girth with no shot. right now he would get eaten alive trying to play the five in the NBA- why the five in the NBA ? Again he has no shot to rely on and he sure in the hell isn't bullying any current five, that could be scary. Flory is a really good five here and more likely then not make money overseas, about the best he can do here in the /states is the G league or late second round
-
@ROCKCHALK2025 I don’t think he’s ready by any stretch of imagination but you never know. Cheick diallo was drafted 33rd without really playing and a similar build to Flory.
