Jacque Vaughn now finds himself in a potentially very good situation if he is retained beyond this season by Brooklyn. With KD mad Kyrie healthy next season, Vaughn would have a top 5 team in the NBA along with the Bucks, Warriors, Lakers, and Clippers.

@wissox he was head coach of the Orlando Magic a couple years back when they were in rebuild mode. Hopefully he gets a shot with a contender next year.

Jacque has been an assistant in Brooklyn for several years now. Glad he got a shot at the head coaching job again, this is a much better chance than he had in Orlando.

I really hope this works for Jacque, one of the all time greats here and a member of some of the first teams I remember watching. I think if he can be named the HC, he will have a much better shot than he did in Orlando. This team has some good pieces assuming KD and Kyrie return healthy next season.

Good for Jacque. He gave me my favorite (non-title) Jayhawk moment when he hit a buzzer-beater in OT to beat Bobby Knight’s Indiana team.
