I saw a graphic on TV the first night of the olympics that highlighted the states with olympians and Kansas was not highlighted.

Surprising given all the snow-capped mountains in Kansas where aspiring winter olympians can hone their craft.

This was on my wall in college. Still works today.

There's a great instagram account that has lots of pictures of kids enjoying winter on KU's hills. I'm pretty sure when i was at KU in the 80's a student got severely injured riding a cafeteria tray down one of the big hills by the dorm complex above AFH.

Last night decided to show my son the Miracle movie from the 1980 Gold medal team. Then we got up early and watched the USA win gold for the first time since then.
