Other Games
-
Zags defense is terrible this year.
They are also playing at least 3 big men and I’m sure most of the league they are in has gone small.
-
Pretty good night of college hoops action this evening. Ohio St @ Maryland, Kentucky @ UGA ( UK first road game), Nova @ Creighton, TCU @ KSU, Baylor @ Texas Tech
Should be some good action.
-
My desire to watch non-ku games is close to zero this year. Maryland tOSU might be fun.

oh ya for sure. - - Wanting to catch both Big 12 games BUT would like to watch Kentucky Georgia too. Baylor Texas Tech should be interesting.
-
Baylor also going on the road for the first time. Tech just blew out Ok Lite by 35 but that doesn’t hold as much water after seeing Huggy Bear win by double digits in Stillwater as well.
-
@BShark that surprises me, not even Baylor tt?

Feel the same way but I’ve been trying to slug through some games for tourney time. Duke/Miami was hard to watch the other night. Gonzaga couldn’t defend my grandma. Florida St/Louisville was interesting. Kentucky isn’t fun to watch (not that they were anyway). Watched ISU lose in OT to TCU just to catch up on why the cryclones want Prohm gone. Saw the Baylor/Texas and Shaka still can’t coach. Fran was laying into him.

You can mark it down I do believe. - - Gonzaga will be the next to take a hit while being number 1. - - League not really stiff challenge - BUT they really struggled with Portland , they struggled against Pepperdine - -somebody gonna jump up and bite them - watch
Gonzaga is way overrated. People can say what they want about this year’s KU team, I say this, we can win the national championship. We have great pieces, some that are nowhere near their ceilings.

Ohio State has now lost 3 straight
-
And Virginia lost to Boston College. Yikes
-
… Now, things are working themselves out.
-
Good game between baylor and Tech. The refs as always though are making it hard to enjoy. Baylor just had a layup negated on a charge that should never be called in the game. Just further promotes camping in the lane and jacking up 3s
-
Again a basket negated for home town referees

Baylor is going to be a tough out.

We better be ready Saturday , Baylor is legit. - -not playing nearly as much Zone , their guards are Good - -really good , especially Butler. - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY
-
21-18 at the half. Woof.
-
Our friends to the west getting worked at home by noted power TCU. Nova throwing up a stinker in Omaha. Shooting a sterling 4-20 from 3
-
@FarmerJayhawk if we couldn’t beat Nova this year it may never happen again sheeeesh
-
Fran don’t need a stop watch to figure that out!
-
Crowd has been neutered, fran!
-
Did they move the free throw line back too?
-
@Crimsonorblue22 lol what game are you watching?
-
HEARTBREAK IN THE OCTAGON OF ROOM
-
@dylans tt Baylor, fran cracks me up. They’re in a zone, no they’re not!

Sooooo empty woof.

Bruceketball now 7-7 on the year. Brutal.
-
We will see the return of the Bruce Weber Sub .500 this year, book it.
-
2 fake flops?
-
Damn. I’m in Mancrappen for meetings. I should’ve went down to root for TCU. Lol. I’ve been stuck with a bucha kstaters the past couple days. I’m ready to head home!

So sorry to hear that! So Long Saloon and Taco Lucha are about the only places worth going in that town
-
Funny how fran kept saying Chris beard has them prepared for the end of game scenarios. Then one guy gets tech for reaching over the line on the throw in and 2 others fake flop at the same time. Don’t believe I’ve ever seen that. By the way did u see huggs got fined

That is ONE really sad team

@FarmerJayhawk Got shuttled down to the blue moose for a rather average steak. Other than that I’m looking for the city limits sign tomorrow…unless I could turn back time a couple hours and watch that b-ball game.
-
@Crimsonorblue22 almost like players can mess up. Hoping Dot improves his late game play…
-
@Crimsonorblue22 For complaining about the refs? Eh whatever gets his guys fired up I guess. Doubt it’ll be nearly as easy if a game in Morgantown.
-
@dylans apparently it was a three strikes deal and the previous two happened last season. Odd.

Or comes back to figure it out next year if he doesn’t. I really like Dot, but his flirtation with the nba last offseason really soured me. I worry he’s looking for the first out instead of taking care of business.

Don’t worry guy , you won’t even have to look for the city limits sign. - -just follow your nose , once you smell clean fresh air - -you know your there lol. - - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG ABBY

@dylans I do not get Wiggins vibes from him. I don’t mind players checking though, their ultimate goal is to go pro.
-
Noted hack Jim Boeheim is now 8-7. 1-7 against teams with a pulse. You love to see it.
-
@BShark Checking I expect. Not making a decision until nearly the last day to pull out is what gave me bad vibes. Like he didn’t want to come back even more than he wanted to go. Just my feelings on the matter. I hope he proves me wrong one way or another.
Not really much of a complaint that he doesn’t outwardly love KU as much as a Jayhawk board rat.
-
Brucie and the Octogon of Gloom had attendance of 7 , 190 /I believe they’re announcer said. -Yet like always when we play there just like everywhere else it will be packed to the hilt and I’m sure they will try to fit/sneak in some of their pet favorite piggies in too
-
@jayballer73 There was an awesome article about that 10 years ago or so. At the time in big12 basketball there were around 25-35 sellouts per year. All 18 of KUs games and a handful of rivalry games for everyone else. Kinda jarring when most of the games I watch (KU games) are sold out and I accidentally flip on a league game and see the crowd.
-
@BShark Or maybe it’s feelings of dread if he does go! This team would be sunk without Dotson!!!
-

This year? Definitely.
-
@BShark I’m good with Harris next year. A raw Devonte with good size and length; a pass first type that likes to D up and who plays with a controlled motor.
-
And Bryce, Marcus, and Christian. We should have plenty of ball-handling next season.
-

I like Harris but he is not comparable to Graham. Graham was a 90/50/40 guy in HS. Harris is closer to Aaron Miles and that still isn’t a great comp.

Grimes had one of those games, 4 points, 2-9 shooting, 0-5 from 3. Remind anyone of last year??
