Must’ve been thinking of some other kid that’s a uk lock. Honestly a bit annoying to sift through because some number of people act like anyone uk shows interest in is a “lock”.

Yet another example of teenage kids right? - - I mean just another example - -Nix just listed his 5 yesterday and commits today to UCLA - -and JB just listed his top 10 yesterday at least that’s how zags had the story - listed his top 10 yesterday and now you say he cut Kentucky today? - or am I missing something here - if he did - -that’s crazy. - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY
-
@BShark I agree. Our returning depth in 2020 in both the back and frontcourt is going to help yet as far as signing any top 20 recruits also hurt us. Imo, we need to concentrate bigtime on recruits in the 30 to 75 range.

Just read their board - - they had been on him hard early then backed off some. - - Said good player for someone.
-
Read an article from Brian Rauf from fan sided - -he made his prediction on where the top 20 players of the 2020 class would land - - giving a scouting recruit for each and every one and prediction where they would land.
Right off kind of funny - -he predicted that he thought Nix would end up at KU.
He says he think s Caleb Love will end up at Louisville. - - Says all three schools have a need for him - - Louisville - - - North Carolina - - - & KU – -KU obviously because with Devon gone next year he could slide right in - -But just thinks with Mack at Louisville and how he has been able to recruit referring to pretty dam good class of 2019 - really likes Mack - -thinks that will be his landing spot.
He DID say he thinks Thompson - - will end up at KU. - -he said both in state Oklahoma schools have a solid chance of landing him BUT he thinks with his dad’s connection with Coach Self that it will be the edge to land him at KU. Talks about KU having a hole at Shooting Guard next year.
His Breakdown of Bryce is - - – needs to get stronger - -Yet says : Bryce can fill it up from the outside - - - -Can kill an opponent by attacking the paint - - Can beat them everywhere in between - - - Very crafty - - wide array of moves - - -Quality shots no matter what the defense does – -floater - - -runners - - -fade away’ s – step backs - - has it all - - I like the sounds of that - - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY
-
Another article that I found pretty interesting - came of UK board. - -Like I had mentioned - -Nix like them - not sure how sold they were on him - -has no outside shot at this point. - is suppose to be his weakness. - -said UK never offered -and Nix announcing his top five hoping to pull and offer from UK.
Article I read had to deal with UCLA - a Writer from the Mercury News said that UCLA was in real danger of being ruled ineligible for the tournament in 2020-21 due to the programs APR Score.
The APR score is the metric the NCAA uses to gauge academic performance in College sports - - -hmmmmm
Every year each School gets an APR score that is then combined with past results and used to calculate a single year multi year score. When the NCAA released the new APR scores for the 2017-18 year UCLA multi year score was 933. - - - -That was 3 points above the cutoff for staying eligible for postseason play - -yet Nix goes to UCLA - - interesting. - - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY
-
Let’s be honest, many of this past season’s and current recruiting whiffs are due to our not being able to pay them much of anything while the NCAA is still sniffing around looking for something that they will not find. No bother though, our team is and will continue to be just fine.

@BeddieKU23 Oh I agree 100%. Just don’t see the need to come out with a list. Just go take your visit and commit.
I hope the staff is prioritizing Love and Thompson.
I think farmer reported recently he thought KU cooled on Nix and that could have been to finding out UCLA was a heavy choice. Regardless its kids being kids, annoying but it’s what we sign up for today following how things go down
-
I follow trends as well, but take more stock from in who we have coming back and in what positions Coach may have stockpiled young talent.
That being said, I think that we need a power forward and center, and if we can add a couple (Thompson would be a bigtime pickup!) of long guards then I would be more than stoked.

I just hadn’t heard much lately linking KU and Nix. It’s full speed ahead on Thompson and Love. RJ Davis looks like Pitt or UNC. KK Robinson could get a longer look now.
-
@FarmerJayhawk KK Robinson would be a major get. What are your thoughts on some of the big guys (who do you think we stand a good chance of getting)? It seems with Dok and Mitch (if he doesn’t redshirt) and maybe even Silvio leaving that we need to fill at the very least two scholarships in the frontcourt.

Sounds like they kind of knew what direction he was going in.
One of KK, Love & Thompson would be great.
-
Thompson up to #14 in the new 247 rankings. Really hope Bill can land him.
-
Jalen Green is considering skipping College and going pro for a year. #3 player overall KU not a factor but would be a big blow to UK and FSU among others that want him badly. Go get your money young man and don’t waste college’s time

Big time.
Love at #21 as well to note
-
It doesn’t seem like Harris will be in 2019 unless it’s midyear. Could be wrong, but haven’t heard anything lately.
-
@FarmerJayhawk I heard today, 2020

So what is the plan here? Going to a prep school now?
-
-
@Crimsonorblue22 isn’t he at sunrise?
-
-
No he’s not at Sunrise, I m hearing that Ty Berry is the point guard up there, so I think that Harris is at KU but he’s redshirting this year
-
Read where DaRon Holmes will re-classify and be in the 2020 recruiting class. - - -A 6’8 PF from Goodyear Arizona. Ranked 33rd in the 2021 class
DaRon - -made an un-official visit to KU on Monday - - both his parents went to KU. - -lived in Kansas until 7th grade year. - said how he felt honored to receive a offer from KU.
Anthony Ray - -a writer for Arizona preps stated he has rarely seen a prospect like Holmes take the floor on Arizona Hardwood - - -broke down Daron like this : - - Superb length - - -& versatility - - - complete mis match problem , - - -able to handle the ball in open court - - -very long and rangy , runs the floor like a guard - - athletic post performer - - score inside and out - -good shooter with range - -excellent feet and hands. - - DaRon says no he isn’t like a lot of others big that wants to play guard - - -he wants to play Big where they want him to play.
Offers from : – Arizona , USC , California , WF , Vandy , Pepperdine , Marquette , Ariz St , Texas Tech Ku , and others
Think we have a pretty good chance if we want - sounds like pretty decent player. - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY
-
@jayballer73 Yea, that is a kid Bill needs to lock up. He would be a great addition and a nice start to the 2020 class.
-
Does KU have a guy signed for 2020 or was that for 2021?

2022 technically but it’s believed he will reclass to 21.

Just read - - Harris made big jump in Rivals ranking. - -Went from unranked to 83rd.
Article said he still hasn’t officially signed yet & is continuing to work to get things done so he can join the team in time for roster this month. - -He is not listed on the KU roster officially it said - -I wonder if he is going to be able to get it done? - - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY
-
Tre White.
@jayballer73 Will come down to academics with Harris.
-
-
@FarmerJayhawk I’m really glad you’re part of the board. You add a lot to our discussions.
-
I really like Harris. He’s real smooth with the ball, passes beautifully… no look passes … the whole shebang. He can drive to the basket and score, and seems to be able to hit a jumper. What I like best are those quick hands…picking off passes, and making steals and taking them the other way. Hopefully, he can build his body up without losing his quickness. In a couple years, the dude could be really good.
-
@KUSTEVE likewise! This is the best KU board I’ve been a part of. The quality of discourse is terrific.
I like him a lot as well. He’s got a bit of Aaron Miles to his game. He and Mackey are good complements. I very much hope he can get here in December. Sounds like August isn’t happening, but obviously I don’t know his schedule for sure.
-
-
Hopefully Harris can join this year. That would be ideal for the transition from Dotson to whatever options we have to play with.

Sounds like the staff is very high on him.

JT Thor would be a great pick-up, and from there it would seem that we need one or two bigs (who is anyone’s guess, don’t seem to be in the lead for any). We need to sign atleast one long guard too, one that can shoot from anywhere.

https://n.rivals.com/content/prospects/2020/mady-sissoko-232226
This guy is taking a official this weekend. First I have heard of him.
-
@Woodrow niiiiiice. He’s a lot like Oscar Tshiebwe at West Virgina. High motor, shot blocker, athlete.
-
BYU is the rumored leader here, but KU has a shot.

Muslim, actually. I do think he’s a pretty religious kid.

Just read – not 2020 recruit BUT - -read where Grady Dick is going to take a un-official for late night – - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY
-
@jayballer73 "Dick, a 6-foot-5, 170-pound guard in the Class of 2022 from Wichita Collegiate, received a scholarship offer from the Jayhawks this summer and made a name for himself in the recruiting world with a solid summer when he showcased his extreme athleticism.
“This kid is a very skilled prospect who plays with a high motor and is ultra-aggressive on the court,” Kusports.com recruiting insider Matt Scott said.
Dick has teamed with fellow-Class of 2022 prospect Mark Mitchell, of Bishop Miege, on the summer circuit and is considered by many recruiting analysts to be a fast-riser in the class."

Here is a very good article about Gradey Dick. The kid is DYNAMIC …

The pull quote: "Don’t be surprised if Dick eventually emerges as one of the most heavily coveted prospects in the 2022 class when all is said and done."

Rumor is KK Robinson is transferring to Oak Hill to get more blue blood (read: Kansas) attention.
