Lol, ya I know - -but that is what he said. – Hopefully the Stanford game will be the last game we have to play this way. - Might be talking more about Billy possibly then De-Sousa - who knows?. - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

I think Self knows Silvio is coming.

Damm good to see Sam get in play - -didn’t realize thought he played 20 minutes. - not complaining mind you but didn’t know he played that much. - checked out the box score, that help our other guys get a little rest too. - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

@BShark I hope it’s Preston

I muted Dakich quite early.
Something tells me Dakich was sniffing to much phog. Maybe KU should have a warning pamplet about sniffing to much phog? I guess it makes you feel like your in heaven?
-
Warning to all persons. Sniffing to much phog at the Fieldhouse will make you feel like your in heaven. Second thought sniff away.

My tweet to Dickitch:
It was nice to see Dan Dickitch come to AFH for our game tonight. It’s not often we get a mid-major announcer to call our games…Walton is stoned…what’s your excuse?
-
He probably found the stash Walton lost under the announcers table. What other explanation could there be?
-
@KUSTEVE Dick itch. O Boy! That’s pretty clever stuff.
-
@BShark I turned his big stupid mouth off and the radio on. There was a 14 second delay, but it was still better than listening to that. I’ve listed to a lot of crap announcers in my life, but at least they were semi intelligent along with their opinions - this guy was utterly incompetent. I’ve joked a lot the past few years about KU giving me the football coaching job - but listen up KU - I can damn sure announce a basketball game better than this idiot.

I think so too…in the LJW article, he said they felt really good about Silvio.

I think so too…in the LJW article, he said they felt really good about Silvio. Ya and he graduates from IMG this Friday, still saying the earliest he could be in uniform would be the Texas game. Would be good to have another body, I mean obviously he sure wouldn’t be doing much but hell if nothing else go in and spell Doke when in foul trouble another 5 fouls - cause it’s going to take some time for him to learn - -even just a little - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

I think Preston would be the bigger helper. Hopefully we get to see him play.
-
The lady behind him had popcorn. Obviously he wasn’t sitting next to “Burrito Gurley.”
-
@JayHawkFanToo No question. For this team to be a FF threat…we have to have Preston. IMO.
-
Come on you ol grumps give Dan a break. I mean do you really like Fran that much? Funniest thing he kept saying was that Omaha is a REALLY good team.
-
Thanks for the perspective. Dan was a bit annoying, but at least he doesn’t have an agenda like Fran has.
-
Dakich is Dakich. It’s all schtick and he’s very aware and purposeful with how over-the-top he is. He’s trolling the trolls and I’m guessing he loves every second of it. During a blowout game like that, he provides a certain level of entertainment value. Loved the banter between him and Benetti (sp???)
-
I could have done without the split screen and DickItch reading tweets; I want to watch the game not him.
-
@JayHawkFanToo
Fair enough. That schtick could definitely have been something they executed off-camera. Not sure why the production truck decided to go that route for those all-important 63 seconds, but it proves that they anticipated/prepared for a blowout and had a few tricks up their sleeves to keep viewers engaged (understanding that not all viewers of the game were die-hard, passionate KU fans who hang on every second of game action).
-
@KUSTEVE that is fantastic
-
Thank you, for mentioning the split screen.
That is one of my gripes about all sports. If sports editors want to run split screens then whatever topic creates that extra screen should be every bit as valuable as the sporting event it is going to limit. Not sure I can think of anything that valuable. I guess if a terrorist just blew up half the arena, that would be reason to split the screen and show smoke and fire.
But these stupid split screen scenes, where they show a coach or announcer yapping his/her yap… WHO FRIGGIN’ CARES?! Why is it important to watch someone talk?! Meanwhile… the game goes on, in a mini-box.

…like the OJ Simpson Bronco police chase during the Knicks - Rockets NBA playoff game?
