Well Texas Tech just slap me just a wee bit just now. - -Just kicked the hell out of Northwestern which was ranked 20th in the Nation. - -Texas Tech kicked the tar out of them 86-49. I mean ya Northwestern but they were ranked 20th - -and for Tech to beat them by 36? - What the hell. - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

Ironic article this morning for you Espin fans. This is the second article on ESPN’s home page for mens’ basketball this morning. It is an homage to the wonderful NW team bouncing back from an unexpected home loss (to Creighton) by beating perennial powerhouse La Salle on Saturday.
The article goes on to mention how they will likely beat TTU.
ESPN, always highlighting their own predictions over the actual results!
Edit: The TTU victory to win the tourney is the 17th article down (mobile site).

That article was posted early morning on the 18th, so it’s not like they ignored the win. The only reason northwerstern is in the news is the last year was their first trip to the tournament. It’s just some feel good crap for the early going before anyone knows how good or bad they really are. I don’t read it as a slight to ttu so much as praise for a down program on the rise however short lived it may be. But yeah ESPN sucks.

@dylans That was my fee-free contrib to ESPN on how to do it in the same article. The bracket were for them to link to the game recap. They should do some work. I never said that should rewrite it to look smart.
I didn’t really mind them not updating it. I just thought it was stupid for them to display the outdated article so prominently. It is not like our Board–here, posts are chronological. If your prediction was proven wrong, you wouldn’t post it again, which would be the equivalent of ESPN continuing to highlight their wrong article. That converts wrong to dumb.

Chris Beard is a good blue collar coach. I’ll be surprised if he doesn’t get that place to being a solid tournament team year after year.

Oklahoma state can’t buy a basket. I guarantee they will shoot well when we play them in Stillwater though.
