over here guys, basketball related - -but not KU, so figured this is where it goes.
Was reading on K-Straight board - -question was asked, who would their fans rather have to play in their matchup in the Big 12 tourney… - -As they said it’s either going to be Baylor, WV , or Iowa State.
This is what just kills me , makes me shake my head - -most said Iowa state, no problem with that but then this one poster states WV - - -ok fine, - -but then what I think is an idiotic statement. - -Saying in the half court WV is garbage- - - says a team with a decent backcourt would DESTROY WV. - - REALLY? - - -SERIOUSLY? - - now I agree they may not be great, - -but GARBAGE? - - I don’t think the WV team is Garbage, Jevon Carter is pretty decent - - plus some others - -but that’s K-State train of thought. - I think it’s more. - -I mean envy - K-State jeaslously I mean come on , can’t we at least be man enough to give a little credit where credit is due? -If people think WV is Garbage then that’s just plain stupid. - they are decent team - -far from Garbage in my book. - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

They better hope they win Saturday against Texas Tech and in their first Big 12 tournament game, otherwise they will probably have a lovely time playing in the NIT.
K-State’s only wins over likely tournament teams are Baylor, West Virginia, Oklahoma State and Colorado State. They have an iffy loss to Tennessee, another iffy loss to TCU (likely not going to make the tournament because of their loss to KSU), a terrible loss to Oklahoma and an unhelpful loss to Texas Tech.
KSU basically has 7 total wins against the top half of D1 basketball. It will be incredibly difficult for them to make the tournament if they don’t win their next two games.
A win against Texas Tech followed by a win against either Baylor or West Virginia probably gets them in. A loss to Texas Tech, and then a loss to Iowa State probably keeps them out. They would add a win against Texas, but the Horns aren’t going anywhere, and if they were to get upset by Texas, they would be done.
