Oh great, now that the Chiefs are bottom dwellers with the Raiders, the plan is to move to Kansas. Thanks Missouri Chiefs for all the great memories of success and super bowls. If the move is in 2031, I can't even imagine who will be coaching and playing for my favorite team.

The whole STAR bond district (at least what we’ve been shown) is the entirety of Wyandotte and like half of JoCo. So that’s the only way the math works, to tax basically the whole Kansas side of the metro. Which is a hell of a bait and switch. They’ve been saying all along well if you don’t use the stadium or right around it you wouldn’t pay a dime. Turns out they were full of shit the entire time.

This move will not affect one single player or coaching staff member. In 5 years they will all be retired or relocated to different teams

America! Where you have the right to be wrong.

Wait, what? I thought the STAR bonds were from future revenue from the stadium and surrounding businesses? Privy info or is there a map out there?

I've read about these STAR bonds in the past. nothing sounds legit, but they are popular.

Indiana Bears anyone? Literally less than 2 miles from my house is a site being tested right now. Ugh, just awful. Our town doesn't have the infrastructure nor does Chicago going south to get lots of people in for a football game.

There had been quite a bit of uproar over it from what I’ve seen. Missouri should be happy they are moving a few miles over state lines unlike the Rams moving across the country. Every major city in Missouri is right on the state line whether it be Branson, KC or St. Louis even early settlers don’t want to be in the state anymore than they had to. I get it stinks to lose arrowhead but I took I private tour of that place a few summers ago, it is very dated in several areas and they are jammed in their super hard. On the player surveys they rank as one of the worst in facilities every year. I thinks it’s wild people act like they won’t have tailgating at the new place. The atmosphere and tailgating experience are created by the fans.

Almost every news item describing the agreement with Kansas goes on to say the discussions are nonbinding. So, everything can and probably will change. But, it's fun to imagine the Chiefs in Kansas and in a multi billion dollar domed stadium.

@stoptheflop if you think the deal is going to get better (or even good) for the state I’ve got some oceanfront property also at Legends to sell you. https://www.kansascommerce.gov/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/Project-Monitor-2.0-STAR-Bond-Agreement-Execution-Version.pdf

I hate taxpayer funded stadiums. Especially for football though. This thing will sit untouched 300 days of the year at least.
