Is it time for a change at Allen Fieldhouse?

Wondering if anyone else thinks it’s time for Kansas to make a change at Allen Filedhouse , James Naismith court?
Oh wait hold on. I’m not talking a coaching change or moving the student section or even what player should or should not be playing.
I’m talking the court design on our beloved home floor.
I’m not talking going Oregon or painting in the three point line. I’m just talking about the half court design
If Kansas would change it what should they go to?
Below are some past designs sans the State of Kansas in Yellow. I couldn’t find that pic.

@JRyman Why? The current giant Jay at center court immediately tells national tv audiences where the game is being played. Leave it be.

I like the Big Jayhawk as is.
But I would like a paper thin digital screen overlaid on the court between the wood and a shellac surface. The surface would be transparent during the game and become a giant video screen that shows waving wheat, or The campus in autumn or spring, or beautiful scenes of Kansas. KU is so beautiful and much of Kansas is too. It could also flask Rock Chalk!!! It would be good branding.

@jaybate-1.0 That would be pretty cool. Wonder how much something like that would cost to do? I’m not sure of what else we could do differently if anything. I think it’s pretty good the way it is, but your idea sounds pretty cool. ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

I like the giant Jayhawk because KU has a very unique mascot. The Kansas Jayhawk is never confused with any other school’s mascot, hence it makes a great image four Naismith Court.
If it were to be changed to anything, I could stomach a silhouette of the KU campus skyline, since the campus is gorgeous, and the image of Fraser Hall is easily recognized.
The color scheme obviously needs to be worked out, but I love the image of the imposing Fraser Hall.

Only change I would make is updating the Jayhawk itself. It’s basically been the same for 70 years now with the only change being the updated font of the KU a little over a decade ago. I’m not talking a radical redesign, but something that looks more intimidating than a smiling bird would be good change. Basically, I would like to see KU update their logo to a modern version of the 1941 Warhawk logo. The football program started using the Warhawk logo on their red helmets and the soccer team has used it on some of their kits as well.

I want a definite change at AFH…
Not the graphics on the court. I wouldn’t change anything on the hardwoods.
I’d like us to hire a tech firm that can come in and superimpose a hologram over the good seats where all the old rich people sit and often sleep through games. Just live feed our student section over those sections… make it really look like we are a fieldhouse jammed with energetic, excited fans.
It is such a laugh (at our expense) when we have a big game and the announcers are talking about what a magic place AFH is and how the crowd is our 6th-man… and then they show grandpa taking a snooze on row 6.
Zenger is never going to do the right thing and give the close seats to students because of the financial impact. But that would sure make games even more intense than they are now.
I have to hand it to our student body. They kick major butt in providing HUGE game support! Just imagine if they had more seats down low to be heard and seen?
Eventually, the student section behind the goals will be sold for more money and they will shove students off into an annex building for a live video feed. Their screaming will be recorded and played back in the arena, and video on the big screen. Just capture “the essence” of student energy while cashing in big with the money crowd. I’m sure Zenger is working on this now…
