BAYLOR BEARS - SATURDAY 3 P.M. CBS
-
City of Waco.
-
Unfortunately, Waco in recent history has not been associated with positive Chamber of Commerce moments. For example…
-
-
Twin Peaks Biker shooting rampage.
-
Waco fertilizer plan explosion
-
For those of us who love Basketball, this was one of the worst events ever for our sport. One player kills another and then the Coach tried to cover the whole thing up by accusing the victim of being a drug dealer. By the way, Dave Bliss is back in coaching.
-
Famous people from Waco
-
-
-
Gathers and Prince appear on the NBA Draft boards.
-
-
-
Looking at Rico’s assist record, it seems like a double team will be appropriate. Once the ball goes into the paint, he rarely throws it back out. This weekend within 48 hours, we will find out how strong these #1 ranked Jayhawks really are. It won’t get any easier as Conference now gets underway.
-
-
One of my favorite shows
-
I need to visit Waco. There has to be something there besides good football and National Tragedies. I’m sure the food is great, the river is fun and college life anywhere makes everything better.
-
-
-
I always enjoy taking the journey through our opposition’s world.
Thanks for making this happen every single game!
-
@drgnslayr AGREED!
@wrwlumpy Keep em coming I love seeing all the pictures! I’m better w/ pictures. @jaybate-1.0 should use more pics!!!
-
My wife LOVES fixer upper! And I watch occasionally by accident of course
-
I have driven through Waco on I-35 dozens of times, but never stopped to do anything other than to eat at Whataburger. Very good medical school from what I have been told. Seem to recall from a Whataburger in store display that Waco is the birthplace of Dr. Pepper.
-
@kansas-oats I ate at Whataburger - oh - 10 times per week in Houston. Best shakes EVER. Don’t remember the food so much, but dang they had good shakes.
-
@wrwlumpy You might want to fact check some of your famous people from Waco. Jessica Simpson isn’t from Waco, she was born in Abilene and raised in Dallas. I don’t know if the picture next is supposed to be focused on Ted Nugent or Sarah Palin, but neither are from Waco.
@kansas-oats Waco is not the home of Dr. Pepper, but the Dr. Pepper museum is in Waco. Dr. Pepper is originally from Dublin, Texas and any Dr. Pepper made with cane sugar is known as Dublin Dr. Pepper.
-
Where are the Branch Davidians?
Favorite David Koresh joke…They found him out back…smoking.
-
@Texas-Hawk-10 Jessica and Ted both lived there for only a while, so they qualified. I left Al Gore off of the Harvard Pics because I had used him in the UCLA showcase the week before, even though he was Tommy Lee Jones roommate.
According to her biography, Ashlee was born Oct. 3rd, 1984 in Waco while Nugent has made Waco his main residency sine 2012.
-
@wrwlumpy Hmmm, JLH from The Client List.
-
-
My daughter was accepted to Baylor and I was really hoping (actually for this reason only) that she would choose Baylor so I could go and visit her when we played at Baylor.
Great work as usual Lumpy!
-
Sure looks like Drew is getting ready to drop the “f-word” bomb…
Ted didn’t earn the nickname “Motor City Madman” for nothing. He was born in Redford, Michigan and grew up in the Detroit metro area.
-
@wrwlumpy Your fourth picture, the one with the white dome in the middle has a fence that says “Home of the Red Raiders”. Are you sure that’s Baylor?
-
@wissoxfan83 That would be Jones AT&T Stadium’s scoreboard in the bottom of the picture.
@wrwlumpy I don’t think you can really say someone is from a place if they weren’t born there or lived a significant portion of their lives there or have some othere significant attachment to a place. Just my opinion.
-
@Texas-Hawk-10 ? Jones AT&T stadium?
-
@wissoxfan83 Texas Tech’s football stadium. The TT logo scoreboard is the giveaway along with the fences.
-
OMG I’ll take care of it. Nice catch. I thought the baseball looking thing was the roof of the basketball court.
-
@Texas-Hawk-10 Well, then why don’t you start posting 50 pictures every game if you don’t like the way he does it? I value everything he does for this board. Obviously you don’t.
-
@KUSTEVE Obviously I don’t because why else would someone ask about the revelancy of people to a place when there is no obvious connection.
I’ll make sure I never question anything ever again because nobody has ever made a mistake in the history or ever have they?
-
@nuleafjhawk Next time you see a Whataburger stop and try the A-1 burger. I go to Port Aransas at least twice a year to fish and when we get up early I still order it for breakfast!
-
No Steve, it was my mistake. Here’s what happened … I’ve been to games in Lubbock for basketball and Football. Too much reliance from Google. Again guys, sorry.
-
@wrwlumpy I was objecting to a litmus test who you include on your lists, Lumpy. I know you work a good while to put all this together for us, and didn’t agree with the tone expressed. just my opinion, of course.
-
@KUSTEVE You don’t know what smartest guy in the room syndrome is do you? If you couldn’t tell by my name, I am from Texas and have lived in Texas for the vast majority of my life. I have spent a lot of time in Central Texas and am familiar with quite of the history of some the cities in the region. When I see pictures of people associated with a place that don’t apear to belong, I will question it’s relevancy.
-
@Texas-Hawk-10 @wrwlumpy" I don’t think you can really say someone is from a place if they weren’t born there or lived a significant portion of their lives there or have some othere significant attachment to a place. Just my opinion." ** No smartest guy in the room here…Just your opinion, right? Maybe you could write him a guide he could follow next time.
Ok, so now he is required to explain to you every picture he posts because " you know Texas". No arrogance here. I try my best to avoid allowing your massive ego to annoy me, but unfortunately, I wasn’t as successful this time. I am done responding, as I know this will fall on deaf ears.
-
I have to agree with you. @Texas-Hawk-10 is kind of coming off as?? Well you know.
You know @Texas-Hawk-10 instead of acting like @wrwlumpy is just making this stuff up and some how your calling him on it. Why not try using a little more kindness. After all @wrwlumpy takes the time to do this for all of us on @kubuckets, and he’s about the most easiest poster on here to get along with.
I guess what I’m saying is take a chill pill. @wrwlumpy does his because he wants too. Besides it’s not like we are building a nuclear bomb here.

Ahhhh yah, good times.
-
Thanks for informing me that expressing an opinion and not agreeing with others was against the rules of this site.
-
Thats exactly what we are saying @Texas-Hawk-10 . I guess people from texas can be smart. who knew?
-
If @wrwlumpy is ok, then we should go w/him. We all appreciate him!
-
I was born in Texas!
-
@wrwlumpy Keep up the good work. As long as you include the occasional RW or JLH types of photos, I can overlook the small stuff.
-
@Crimsonorblue22 Any identifying Wild Wild West birthmarks or tattoos?
