ESPN picks KU to win 12 straight

I should clarify an ESPN reporter picked KU. Another picked ISU.
-
@JayhawkRock78 We’re screwed. I wish they had picked us to finish last.
-
I don’t think this is “cover worthy” so maybe we’re okay.
Also, another ESPN reporter picked Iowa State.
-
Well…not quite…
This is what ESPN posted…
"The Jayhawks look to make it 12 straight Big 12 conference titles next season and will again be considered among the favorites. But the challenge could be even greater than the 2014-15 season with experienced teams returning in the Iowa State Cyclones and Oklahoma Sooners."
I don’t read it as picking KU to win it but to be “among” the favorites. I believe the ISU will be the favorite since they bring most of the team back, including key pieces, and add a couple of players as well.
-
Well, it is perhaps a bit early to levy judgment regarding the 2015-16 Big 12 title. Kansas might be filling slots until August. We will know more about how Bragg fits into the lineup after the World U. Games, and will get an opportunity to see if our key players have regained bounce; also, if some of our borderline starters have stepped up their games.
-
Speaking of World U. Games, without Svi and Greene, we are likely to see some experimenting, esp. if Jaylen Brown does not come aboard. Perry playing some 3? Bragg playing some 3? A Diallo signing could also affect the 3/4 jugglings.
-
@REHawk celebrate now, worry tmrw?
-
@JayHawkFanToo Ahhh come on now. KU brings back everyone cept Oubre and BRD, KU just added Diallo and earlier Bragg. KU will have a very nice blend of experience and talent next season. #12
-
@Lulufulu did we really have brd? Doesn’t seem like it!
-
BRD? Is that Alexander? ISU brings everyone back except Hogue. OU and Baylor will also be loaded. KU will have to earn it once again…nothing new there.
-
Saying Kansas will be among the favorites in the Big XII is like saying the sun will rise in the east. We already knew that.
This is Kansas. It is presumed we will be in the hunt for the conference title. The question is who we will have to battle, not whether we will be there.
-
ISU has to keep its players out of jail for them to be competitive!
Taylor is returning to UT. Notice UT/Shaka were not mentioned?
-
@RockChalkinTexas not a great time for coach Fred to return from open heart surgery!
-
After signing Diallo the big light bulb went off in the sports media world that Kansas is likely to repeat. Too bad. It helps us more to have them question our ability to repeat and let our players think they may be the team to blow the streak.
I’m also thinking we lost our 1-year “sleeper status” in March. Back to the bright lights.
