New post season uniforms unveiled...

@KUSTEVE She has me drink for her and man do I feel bad in the mornings.

PHOF

@jaybate-1.0 I’m an old military guy, and we hate change.
-
Last year when we beat OU, Tharpe won the game for us, we celebrated then. Band played, na na na na, hey hey hey, for Naadir! Took me awhile to figure that out.
-
Its like adidas has been keeping these uniforms a secret until just the right moment to de-pattern us all.
-
@jaybate-1.0 I’m with you. If what we have wins the battle, there is no sense in changing to win the war. Bring them out next year would be good with me after they fix the waistband.
-
-
I am now going to take my meds…all of them at once.
-
@jaybate-1.0 I knew it!
-
@jaybate-1.0 Don’t take the little blue diamond one. It’s too late.
-
@brooksmd ha ha!!!
-
@Crimsonorblue22 What’s game time Sat?
-
@brooksmd it will be the “big one” if he takes that one!
-
@brooksmd 4, game day at 2? I’ll check.
-
Something like 4 or 4:30 CST.
-
@Crimsonorblue22 The “big one?” Really.
-
-
@brooksmd game day at 3. speaking of game day, since it starts at WSU, cf was on our news today. He, dad and guessing attorney were at the court house filing for a diversion. Pretty sad deal!
-
@Crimsonorblue22 Hope he gets himself straightened out.

If they make Self give the 30 trey order
Isn’t that like Palpatine giving order 66?
-
Time for StarWars refresher course. I don’t recall Palp’s order 66. What was that? Something to do with Joseph Campbell?
-
-
@Crimsonorblue22 If that is true I volunteer to chip in to buy you tickets to the Oklahoma game.
-
West Virginia… the one place on earth that even the tooth fairy declared bankruptcy!
Man… brings back memories. I think I heard that one first in 1965 as a pup.
-
@drgnslayr Jim Gaffigan says that if West Virginia is “almost heaven” he might want to take another look at hell…
-
-
@KUSTEVE I’m loud! Embarrass my boys!
-
Well the shirts are ok…
-
@lincase let’s see after these home games!!!
-
What exactly are those squares on the bottom corner of the leg? Cell phone holders?
The wide waist bands make me think they made the shorts too small (maybe they are surplus Adidas soccer shorts???) and added a waist band to make them longer…at least that is what comes to mind every time I watch Louisville.
-
@JayHawkFanToo I bet coach self won’t wear them! Hope?? I meant he wouldn’t let his team!
-
If I understand correctly, as part of the agreement with Adidas, KU has to wear a “new design” uniform for at least few games every season. Remember the camo/zubaz pants debacle? KU ended up wearing them for a couple of games in the Big 12 Tournament. Unfortunately, this type of clothing is favored by the younger crowd who really does not have a clue what style or traditions are, and after all, Adidas pays big bucks to have big name teams promote them…at least they are not as hideous as the camo unis. This is the price you pay for having a big clothing manufacturer give you a lot of money…there is no such thing as a free lunch.
-
@JayHawkFanToo both my boys don’t like them so I’m guessing the players don’t. Self said he does say no to adidas. Just a guess!! Don’t think the players want to look like Louisville.
-
This uniform issue, the only thing I really care about is being able to SEE PLAYER NUMBERS as I perch 8 ft. away from my 50" TV screen. When games are not broadcast in HD my failing old eyes often give me fits, trying to keep up with our guards. That said, it does appear that most of our remaining games will fall under high def. filming and release. I will wait to pass judgment after I see how the new uniforms look on our starting lineup at tipoff during their first wearing.

“Don’t care for the long waistbands. Get rid of them or at a minimum keep them waistband (1” [;)] length."
Reminds me of a story going back to my big balling days. I believe it was about 1983. I was boxing and balling. Didn’t have clean shorts for basketball practice so I wore my boxing shorts. They had a 3" waistband (to help keep them up and raise the line for low blows), with a baggy body (to house the protective cup). All the guys at ball practice thought they were cool.
NOTHING CLICKED IN MY HEAD! Man… I was such a dope.
A year or so later, Michael Jordan started wearing baggy shorts because of his superstitions. He always wore his UNC shorts under his Bulls shorts. That was the beginning of the trend towards baggy shorts.
I always felt I blew it by not seeing this oppotunity so I never made a red cent on it.
I wasn’t even smart enough to continue to wear baggy boxing shorts to basketball practice again.
I think back about how dumb I was… it makes me appreciate our Jayhawk players a lot more. I know I am one of the fans in here that constantly whine about players and their actions. They are light years ahead of where I was at that age.
Can anyone else in here relate?
-
@drgnslayr I can totally relate. (Never knew the MJ UNC short story).
I played a lot of bball after work in my 30’s, and I could see the court and pass so much better then I ever could when I was younger-I even valued the ball more.
As for missing other opportunities-only a thousand times.

PHOF MULTIFACTORIAL!!!
-
Good fashion Design requires being flattering to the wearer.
These uniforms are like putting Beyoncé in a hazmat suit with a life belt.
We have brown eyed handsome men.
Make it stop before it starts.
-
Well, at least they don’t look like this.
-
@jaybate-1.0 Blue Diamond. Even @Crimsonorblue22 knew that.
-
@Crimsonorblue22 You make it or just lurking while enroute?
-
@drgnslayr no!!
-
@brooksmd here!! I stay w/friends and head over to my sons house. They don’t have room.
-
@brooksmd I hope I never have to see that gawd awful uni again as long as I live.
-
@brooksmd DANGER WILL ROBINSON!!! Eyeburn warning. DO NOT click on Brooks "this’ link.
