Screw Lyric Rawls for leaving for an enemy team.
-
We failed Lyric Rawls. Didn't put him in a position to be successful. You can't blame him for leaving for a program where he will get coaching and conditioning so that he might make it to the nfl

Marshall throwing better. And throwing away when he should.
Receivers better than expected. #5 is really talented. Notice neither #7 playing today. Starting tight end out. Our beast RB #6 is out, too. -
If getting into relative scoring position and not scoring is the point of the game we'd be doing very good today.
-
This is exactly why I never had interest in traveling to London. The trip home would be miserable.

We could be down 7 if KU kicked a FG last drive.

Went to the game. Wasn’t expecting a win.
But LL should not finish the season unless something major changes next couple of weeks.
I appreciate what he did but he isn’t a P5 coach. Playcalling was a mess. Decision making was even worse.
Disappointed but not mad.

@Texas-Hawk-10 His foot is in a boot!!
-
We won the stats game, but 3 turnovers and 0 for 3 on 4th down. The biggest swing factors in any game.
Mistakes that need to be cleaned up. Poor play at times.
Lance's decision making has improved over his years here, BUT the team's execution has gotten worse. Which, you can argue, is on Lance, as well. -

No, KU cannot fire Leipold without a plan and this is probably a really bad year for KU to get a quality coach. We are near the bottom of NIL spending in the Big 12 on this roster so KU wouldn't be attracting a top up and coming coach. There's also potentially 3 other Big 12 schools (Baylor, Cincinnatti, and Colorado) that could be looking for new coaches after this season as well that would all be pulling from the same pool KU would potentially be pulling from. This is probably not the best offseason cycle to be looking for a coach at this level.

Which, you can argue, is on Lance, as well. It's literally the last couple of minutes going into halftime and the first few minutes coming out of halftime that have cost KU the last 3 years. You can guarantee KU is giving up a TD going into halftime and giving up a TD coming out of halftime.

He also played the beginning of the game and lost a fumble in the 2nd quarter. He had 8 carries today, he played today, KU wasn't without him for the entire game today.

We completely gave that one away. Add to the list the last 3 years 2-8 in games decided by one score. I think any remote hope of a bowl game just disappeared. This circles back to poor coaching IMO. New faces, same result at the end of the halfs. We snatch defeat from the jaws of victory it our new motto for Kansas football. I’m literally sick to my stomach after that one.
-
@Texas-Hawk-10 I don’t think they should fire LL right now but man that was rough. It’s like we haven’t worked on 2 minute defense or offense since he came to town. The problem is most P4 coaches are packing their bags if they win 2 or 3 games in year 6. You also have to figure he made all sort of demands to stay here including the new stadium. It’s a pretty shitty look to demand stuff and then not even make a bowl for 3 straight years.
-
I could understand hanging onto Lance or moving on from him. My personal stance would be to let this season play out and move on if he doesn't turn things around. Something to consider: if it weren't for our horrendous sucktitude from 2009-2021 and our fear of regressing to such a state there is almost no chance Lance would still be our coach.
-
K-State is 3-0. We're 1-2 with no hope of winning another game. It's comforting to know that some things never change.
-
@Jayhawk_69 this is true and I’m personally fine if we give him next year but if we want a good hire, we would need to up our NIL budget. It appears most of that 300 million dollar donation went to the stadium and not to the players. By the time the stadium is done we will have some of the nicest facilities in the B12. Cignetti turned Indiana around instantly. If you get the right guy here, it’s doable.

We would be 3-0 with their cupcake schedule as well.

@kjayhawks2.0 I'd like to believe that's true but I'm not 100% convinced
