Here’s wishing all our sports junkie, board rats at KUBuckets a blessed & wonderful Thanksgiving & our beloved Jayhawks another “W” tomorrow. Tip time about 12:oopm.
And special extra thanks to @approxinfinity& @bskeet for making this experience possible (or necessary as per Norm Crosby). LOL

@globaljaybird think it’s 11, central time.
-
@Crimsonorblue22 THX!

Finally, I get to use the DVR and watch over and over. I won’t listen at work or turn the radio on while driving home. Let’s win this tournament!
-
@wrwlumpy so no updates? Don’t want to ruin it for you!
-
Happy Thanksgiving to all. Had mid -day dinner at relatives, so used the DVR. When I got home checked the score before firing up the DVR and enjoyed a nice stress free game. Our boys were having fun the first half no doubt.
The second half got sloppy for a while.Looking forward to beating Tennessee

@JayhawkRock78 loved Coach Selfs comments about the nba ranking kids before they had a chance to play. Recruits need to hear this.
-
@globaljaybird Hope you didn’t OD on turkey and all da fixin’s today. My question is about your new avatar. I’m assuming it’s Rascal, but is he displaying his vertical ability, or does he have a hold on something and hanging from it?
-
@brooksmd Thanks for asking old timer. Just the wife, Rascal & me so restraint was definitely lacking at bean time. If I ever figure out how to load pics with a post, I’ll bore the krap outta ya with action photos of my “adopted son.” This boy has some HOPS… Had to raise 2 cattle gates up over a foot each & a walk through about 2 feet. Also have had to use timbers & fence posts on the bottom of the fence to try & prevent him from tunneling out after critters. His hunting instincts are of the charts Brooks. Rabbits, squirrels, mice-he don’t care. If it’s movin’ he’s chasin’. Is climbing a cedar when he can get away with it so I have to be out with him at all times. Was one year old first week of October so is still a growing pup. Was 42 lbs when we rescued him & is around 65 - 70 now. We still miss Woody & Roxy a bunch, but this boy’s been a lifesaver for sure. His hind feet get about shoulder high on a good jump & if he can grab something solid with the front paws, he’ll fly. Had him a month yesterday & a couple weeks back leaped off the deck to the driveway below (8 - 9 ft drop) after a squirrel. Thought sure he would break a leg or hip but hit the ground running full tilt. Have added framing to slow that down too, but I have to stay on top of his antics continuously. Like @crimsonorblue22 says, he’s keeping me young-& kicking my butt in the process !

@globaljaybird OLD TIMER??? Is that the pot calling the kettle black?
-
@brooksmd Sorry but I don’t make that reference lightly. To it me it means we’ve paid our dues, many times over. Got a real kick outta a guy I work with the other day. Gene is 68 & a man that’s 76 & I asked him for help with a portable scanner we couldn’t boot up. When he was successful he exclaimed “Damn you guys really know how to make a guy feel like Superman-Thanks!” I’m the pup of the group at 63. The 76 year old team roped PRCA rodeo when younger & still rode & roped till 70. Hope we’ve still got that much vinegar when we’re that age. We also work with several kids in their 20’s & 30’s & let me assure you that todays young people simply do not have the work ethic that older people do. I’m afraid we have reared an entire generation that are perfectly willing to live off of someone else’s nickel. When I use the term old timer I use it out of respect & no other reason. So yeah, I am calling you out !! LOL !! But in a considerate & engaging manner. Personally I’ve been called so many things in my life not much alarms me anymore

@globaljaybird “Personally I’ve been called so many things in my life not much alarms me anymore.”
Just don’t call me late for dinner. Enjoy your weekend. I’ll be out at the range tomorrow afternoon making sure everybody shoots safe.
