Kansas State hate

Friends I am so sick and tired of losing to the mildcats in football and splitting with them in basketball. 17 times in a row is at stake Saturday. We literally have highschool seniors that have never seen Kansas win and it’s quickly becoming one of the most embarrassing streaks in CFB. If this program wants to move forward, a win has to happen. Next season we will lose pretty much every single player on offense and the few good players we have on defense. If it doesn’t end now it could easily go on for another 5 years. I feel like my sanity is on the line Saturday.
-
Don’t get your hopes up. I am just hoping to sweep them in basketball.
-
@kjayhawks I’m an old fart. I remember when it didn’t matter how bad we sucked, we could always count on beating K-State.
Our season is …ok so far, K-State has been fairly awful. But I guarantee they beat us Saturday. My guess 36 - 21.
-
@Jhawk69 Ahhh the , eternal optimist OUR chances are really good , I love our chances -don’t lose to much sleep sweating about it
-
@SlimShaddy54 I’m glad you’re sleeping well, but the fact is we haven’t beaten them in 17 years. There’s no real reason to believe we’ll beat them this year. But we can hope.
-
We r due!

@SlimShaddy54 I am neither an optimist nor a pessimist. I am a realist (Twain is my favorite author). As a realist, my takes on KU basketball tend to come across as optimistic while my takes on KU football tend to come across as pessimistic.

@nuleafjhawk I’m sleeping great thanks.— I don’t live in the past. Were not playing any of those teams we have played in the last 16 years These guys can’t live in fear and I know they are not. If we wanna live in the past might as well say we won or should of won for the last two years.
If we wanna live in the psst and shimmer & tremble hell we might as well not even play just tell them to have K/State name the score and we will call it good.
Therre is NOT ONE SINGLE PLAYER that would intimidate me or does scare me on that team. Jalen is just s good if not better them Johnson , he is the most over rated kid I’v seen in quite some time. What has he done that is that much better , head and shoulders then anyone else.-- Edwards is limited in play still not full speed by any means --They have played long stretch’s of crappy ball . I think I will take my chances and let the game play out , , thank GOD we do have SOME that live in the present and not the past
-
@Jhawk69 I’m sorry it’s gonna be OK really it is , just remember it’s only a game and continue to breathe
-
@SlimShaddy54 Life outside the game will be okay. As for the game itself, I will not believe we can beat K-State until I see it with my own eyes.
-
@Jhawk69 Good luck , you don’t have long to wait. Gives you plenty of time to get the eye appointment scheduled
-
LL needs this win to change the new cycle, change the narrative, and finally change the way in-state recruits look at these two programs. A lot on the line Saturday imo
-
@Kcmatt7 this is without a doubt the biggest game in LL career thus far as well as JDs
-
Lance has been close two years in a row. His old bugaboo of not knowing how to close out a win seemingly has bit us in those games more than others.
-
@kjayhawks I disagree. A game against an unranked secondary rival is not the biggest game of Lance’s career. All of the games we have played against top-10 opponents were bigger. Our game against Okie State a few years ago that got us bowl eligibility for the first time in forever was MUCH bigger. Both of the bowl games we have played in have been bigger. Our game against Baylor at the end of last year, which was a fight for bowl eligibility, was bigger. Our game against misery, who is a much bigger rival than K-State, was bigger.
-
Sounds like KSU is trying to give us bulletin board material. One there linebackers stated they should go out and dominate us.

I agree to some extent it may not be the biggest game in LL’s tenure. But I do fear the ramifications of a loss may be this team quitting on LL and staff. And then that snowballing into something even worse this offseason.
A win basically guarantees a bowl appearance and accomplishes SOMETHING this season by ending that damn streak.
-
It is a big game. The chance to snap a long losing streak, gain momentum for in-state recruiting, and increase our chances of bowl eligibility are all factors. But it is far from the biggest game or Lance’s tenure.
-
@Jhawk69 I personally think our game against Texas @ Texas when w went in and beat them, the game Jarrod Casey’s name became known. That was a huge game and really think was the start of our turn around. – The game in Booth when we beat Oklahoma was a pretty huge game and very sweet. Two games that i think was very beneficial for our program and actually meant more to the program then K/State.
Now this weekend this will be a big game but for different reasons , time to put an end to the streak. Yet as far as being the biggest game of LL time at KU I just think the Texas game at Texas was much bigger. The game Saturday will no doubt be big in ways- – -breaking the streak and even more turning the tide even more with in State recruiting. we just kicked their ass for 2026 with in state recruits - -but typical response from their idiot fan bas of- - -well we wern’t recruiting that kid or he isn’t all that good, but yet before they committed to KU these kids were lights out. First one that really stunned the taters was JJ Dunnigan kicked them right square in the nads - -gotta love it.
