Kansas. We have joined the ranks of teams that used to be great and are now barely relevant. In the past 10-ish years we've had double digit losses multiple times and eight or nine losses multiple times. This is not a fluke bad season. It's a trend. We are no longer a powerhouse. A Blueblood. We're just another team. I don't know how it happened, but it happened.

I beg to differ. Yes there's some facts there in your statement, but there's also some grand exaggerations with a forgetfulness for the facts. Last decade, we made elite 8 in 16, 17, final four in 18, round of 32 in 19, best in nation 20, round of 32 in 21, national champs in 22, and first weekend exits since then. Glass half full is my view and, well take it from a fan of another team you know me for, the Badgers. We made the FF in 2015 and not even close since. Even missed it once and had to play in the NIT. So it's still not that bad. I hope it improves. If some one stops the ball Sunday we're in OT with momentum.

Saying we’re Indiana is silly. They haven’t made the second weekend in a decade and haven’t won a title in my lifetime. Ditto UCLA. They’ve missed the tournament a handful of times over the last decade. Especially lol at Louisville, who’s a never was and not that long ago won 4, 8, and 13 games in consecutive seasons. I get hyperbole is your thing but this one is something

Also doesnt Louisville have one of the highest NIL of any school? Im assuming they will be able to purchase success moving forward.

I live in Ohio. Trust me, Kansas basketball is relevant.

Lol, this is an embarrassing take. KU has been lower than a 4 seed twice since 1990 I believe. Duke went 12 years from 2010-2022 without winning an ACC title and a bunch of early exits from the NCAA Tournament during that time as well including losing to a 15 seed.

@wissox83 what grand exaggerations? Look at the win-loss record. It's exactly what I said.

@Texas-Hawk-10 seedings don't mean quality teams. Look at our early exits lately. It doesn't matter where a team is seeded. It matters how they perform.

In case you forgot, seeding is based on a team's performance throughout the year. Very rarely does the best team in the country actually win the NCAA championship.

I dont concur with the “Kansas is a has been” take. I think we need the right people and this is achievable. Bill Self would have struggled to meet expectations at any program where the expectations were as high as Kansas with the rosters he had.

The most important thing is winning in March, well and in April. But a season can be enjoyable even without the end of season success. I love watching KU play basketball. I love being other teams super bowl. Frankly we are that to just about every team that plays us. The only team that can talk any smack about us right now in the league is Baylor, and maybe Houston a recent runner up. Arizona hasn't been to an elite 8 since 2015, final 4 since 2001. Yes they could break that embarrassing streak of no FF's this year. We're crying because we haven't been there since 2022? Iowa St? Laughable to hear their pitiful fans talk smack on us. They've not earned the right because, well they've been waiting since 1944 when my 89 year old mom was 8 years old to play in a final four! BYWho? They're a midmajor that's been to 3 elite 8's. Texas Tech at least has a recent proud achievement with their national runner up in 2019.

So I'm still darn tooting pleased to be cheering on the crimson and blue. We've still got lots of great stuff going on. Jump back on board Mr Nuleaf!
