Man , I mean people go to great lengths sometimes , Reading from our TOS that off K/State boards is a three page thread about Coach L leaving to go to Michigan State and Jalen going with him.
To that I call BS . - I just don’t believe that for a NY Minute. I just think Lance is a very high Character guy, and when he says he and his wife are very happy here in Lawrence , and just really don’t think he would invest as much as he has, pointing to improvements to our Stadium & Weight Room , I think he is at a age as to where he doesn’t want to keep making another jump - -The University is giving him everything he ask for
In reality I think what is more likely is a nervous fan base down the pike that we ( KU ) are closing the gap on them and they are SERIOUSLY HOPING that Lance will leave and our star QB will follow him there To this like I said I call BS -does anyone here actually beleive this crap , just click bait they pulling this out their ass.
No this piece MIGHT be a little more believable , not much for me but maybe some. - More report is that Jalens Parents are forcing him to sit out to go to USC-- this supposedly from ( A SOURCE )- --I just find that hard to believe

Ya kinda dunny how garbage and K/State go hand in hand. -I actually am serious when I actually think they are starting to get a little uneasy seeing that yes we are closing the gap in football on them and the thought of that just about makes them sick lol.
I think they are trying to jusitfy and come up with anything they can to relief their fears. - - - TO LATE. - we are coming . amazing the lengths some wil go to to make themselves feel better

I think it was more of a challenge for Lance - -if was going to leave it would of been more worry last year and him going what was it the Wisconsin job ?-- or hell even the Nebraska job, as he has family ties there right? – More then Michigan State

Wisconsin was the most logical jump last year if he was going to jump ship. Of course coaches make ‘I’ll die here in …’ statements and then a new greener pasture opens and they’re gone. Lance won a lot at the D3 level. I’m just a little leery that he will not think he’ll get to taste championships here in Lawrence and move on to a place where winning big is more possible. MSU? I mean you can’t even win your own state. Not quite sure he’d ever think about that school. I think Wisconsin got the guy they wanted too so I think that threat is no longer.

Michigan St. is a place you can win at the highest levels. They’ve made the CFP and have more resources than KU does. MSU should absolutely be calling Leipold to gauge his interest because Leipold is a great coach and MSU is a place you can contend for national titles in football.

The QB - not a star. A great young man with star POTENTIAL, but you don’t write your way into the record books sitting on the bench. Or wherever he sits during our games.

I fully believe he IS hurt. That’s part of the problem, people want to believe this bogus BS thinking he wants to transfer to Michigan St with Lance. - - Lance isn’t going anywhere and unless you have encountered the back issues that they talk like he has - -then you have no idea.
I’ve dealt with those issues, I know how he feels. if you are messing with the nerve the that runs in the back , just depends it can run part way down the leg it can run all the way down and it hurts like a bitch, you can’t hardly stand up - - you can’t sit down , , you can’t lay down - -when mine was bad it took me a half hour just to get my shoe’s on, you can’t bend over - - not good. There are some that thinks this is all made up - -he is not hurt and I call BS. Jalen wants to be out there as bad as the next guy, he is to much a part of this program, not only are these his team mates , they have grown a bond & friendships
If it is legit and he tries to come back to fast, he can be looking at surgery - -I’ve had four, and the tightness is something that might hinder him forever. I still have back tihtness and they told me that they can’t fix the problem all they want to do is make it more tolerable. - I fully think Jalen isn’t trying to pull anything – the kid is hurt.
Now Maybe - - Maybe , if anything it might more likely then a back issue if it were being made up , it might be more likely like this stuff being thrown out if anything MAYBE his parents are telling him to sit so he can transfer to USC - -I don’t think so, but if anything this would be more the case then him faking a back issue

@wissox Of course I’m not saying that. I’m saying that someone said something about LL leaving and taking his star QB with him. He’s not a star. He’s just not. Like i said, he has star potential. Believe me, i’m sorry that he’s hurt and sorry that he’s not playing. If he were healthy we’d probably be 6-1 right now and we’d have a good chance at finishing the season with 2 losses. Mahomes could be our QB and we’re not beating Texas or Oklahoma.

If JD plays, KU has a chance against OU and I’m sorry but I think we have chance late in Austin again if he’s on the field. That was a 20-14 game late in the 3rd quarter. Jalon is too high character to pull any of this. I know it’s bad memories with Hebert but he wasn’t playing due to Pooka.

I believe the coaching staff is viewing 2024 recruit Isaiah Marshall as the QB of the future. With the improvements in the program, I could also see Leipold going out and getting at high level QB in the portal as well as a stop gap to get Marshall ready.
