Win a championship, lose a bunch of studs and do it all over again. It’s amazing
-
Love the red too!
-
-
@BShark you! No like CRIMSON? 🫢
-
@BShark I always think the reds are better in theory than in reality. Like, they look good on the hanger but something about red in the field house feels wrong. Feel like they should be a non con away/neutral court game in November/December thing.

Sr’s pick

Yeah the players like them, which is all that ultimately matters.
@benshawks08 very confusing to cheer for the guys in the red uniforms in AFH.
-
Red is better than gray. They also had to make up for those butt ugly Helms P.E. unis.
-
@BShark especially when you’re playing a red team. But we’re crimson, not red! I thought they were really sharp! Self doesn’t like red, superstition, I think. I also think it’s cool we celebrate all the different traditions.
-
The players who like the red (crimson) unis weren’t born in 1986, when we wore them and lost to Duke in the Final 4. I haven’t liked them since then. Bad memories. We had a phenomenal team, should have won it all. Must have been the unis!
-
@tundrahok we broke that jinx! I’m superstitious too!
-
@tundrahok I remember that. But, I think Bill actually likes them. Here is he saying, " gee I really like those new red uniforms":
-
Took down my #Chiefs flag yesterday morning and raised my NATTY flag. I’m sure that is what brought us the win!!!
-
Thanks for playing your part!

Hanni & Gurly brought this up post game last night - -weird year - -Stating that the teams widely considered non factors for championship gave us more trouble at home then the true title contenders.
At the phog we struggled with Okie State ( 69-67 ) - -Oklahoma ( 79-75 )- - Iowa St ( 62-60 )- - WV ( 76-74 ) & - -Texas Tech ( 67-63 )
Where as with the Serious title contenders was easier at home - - -K/State - - ( 90-78 ) - -Texas- - ( 88-80 )- - Baylor- - ( 87-71 ) - -just really weird.
Guess we need to consider ourselves fortunate things came out the way they did. - -could of easily possibly three more losses
-
Very interesting
Besides last night’s game that had a lot of pressure (Senior Night thrown on top of winning a Championship) I think it points out this KU team knows when to turn it on when the games count the most.

Definitely hoping this is the case. They’ve shown that they have a different gear they can ascend to. I just hope they’ve found exactly where that switch is because it would suck to be waiting on it and all of the sudden it just isn’t there anymore.
-
Perhaps its play their best when it most matters? All the games have meaning but for KU, organically, certain games become bigger and in the moment KU has almost always rised to the occasion and come out on top.
-
Mercy trying to grasp - - 17 Championships in 20 years - - that’s insane - good insane but insane lol - Think about this. Therre IS a possibility - -a slim one but a possibility – Ku could actually if things were to play out - -Ku could actually end up winning this Conference by THREE GAMES - -that’s crazy with the strength of the league.
K/State is @ WV -even K/State fans are a little leary of that one - the one that won’t turned this into a reality is ISU @ Baylor - I got a feeling Baylor just gonna curb stomp the hell out of Iowa State - but anything is possible - - THREE GAMES

They amp up, and amp down. If every game is national championship caliber max effort, then we have a burned out team come tournament time. Bill has tried that method before, and years ago we would come out flat as pancake in the tournament.
-
@Jethro I seem to recall Jaybate saying this too many moons ago
-
I think it’s been that way in-terms of hype up game since 2006 IMO. Some games you tell when we come out BS told the guys let’s see what happens. Almost feel like Tuesday was that way for most it.
-
The uniforms this year have been imo
-
Gonna have to go gel the new Championship shirt. - Looks good say - - History repeats it - -self lmao for Coach Self Love it
-
@approxinfinity I really liked the Pay heed ones the rest have been average to bad. Disliked the grays and the sunflower ones.
-
@kjayhawks I liked the back to back to back to back to back to back to back to back to back to back to back to back to back shirt (for number 13). Really illustrates how ridiculous the streak was.
