After yesterday’s piss poor performance, big Dave is going to come out so aggressive today; however, since he has the coordination of a 3 year old, he’ll be in foul trouble early and maybe get 7 minutes in the first half. And foul out in 15 minutes overall. He’s a trainwreck. I’d rather have mitch start the 5

Hmmm thats interesting. The game that is being played before us on FX 1 isn’t bring showed on Television because of Health Conditions – they are playing the game but not televising - -hmmm

Mitch is worse though. The only thing he is better at is help side blocking (hard to do as the only big) and maybe straight up post defense but both are terrible at it. Hopefully some of the guys we are bringing in next year can improve it.

The big issue with Mitch is he isn’t a threat to do much of anything offensively. Dave at least does have a few things he does well, but Gonzaga scouted him well and took it away. Dave will have to get better at passing out as well as not having the ball swiped from him.

I dont agree with playing Mitch out there but I get the frustration with Dave. Just for some perspective we were pretty hard on Devon and others after game 1 last year against Duke even with the exhibition games and he turned it around quickly after that. Its going to take some time for Dave to settle down but I’m certainly not expecting anything drastic in his play. I happen to think he’s just limited defensively

Jalen was our best 5 against Gonzaga somehow.
This match-up today is a lot more favorable for Dave. He will have good and bad games, hopefully improving as he plays.

Dave needs to get a lot better at passing out the post. When he gets the deep ball, he’s looking at his feet. He can’t see the double- or triple-team coming, so he doesn’t pass out and loses the ball a lot when he puts it on the floor. He needs to stop looking at his feet.

He’s a black hole in the post. Doke was like that early in his career too. Even when Dave passed it out, it wasn’t pretty. Hope he improves

Shot blocking and defensive rotations is what mitch brings on the defensive side. Knowing the plays and not setting moving screens on offense is what he brings there. Dave is a turnover waiting to happen or a spin over his left shoulder to brick a fade away jumper

Wilson has zero idea what he’s doing on defense. St Joe’s is shooting lights out right now. I’m not worried about this game…but this defense is the worst group of kids I’ve ever seen in a KU uniform
