Looks like the USA got a great group draw.

Paraguay, Australia and the winner of a three-team playoff.

The Australians aren’t a pushover, but all our games are winnable.

I hear others saying England is in the group of death, but I don’t see any really crazy groups.

@rockchalkjayhawk sorry man, my head has been at max churn with other stuff and I havent engaged with the WC draw, or even fully engaged in the last window.

        Looking forward to it though.

These expansions have been duplicitous. CFB gets watered down in a money grab but yet my JMU Dukes get in. WC gets watered down, but hey USMNT gets a sweet draw. I’m not complaining. There are more important hills to die on.

I see Balogun and Pulisic are killing it in international play. Feels like we are in good form and Poch can make a splash. I am a little concerned our CBs will get exposed by good teams but nothing new there. Will we possibly get pantsed again like against Netherlands and Wales in last WC? We havent seen another serviceable CB besides Ream, Zimmerman and Richards have we?

You’ve probably followed things closer than I have. What are you seeing from our guys? Who is in top form? Who is looking bad? What do you think the roster will be?

Yea, the World Cup stuff has been on the periphery for me a bit. I do watch all the USA games. There's really no way to judge the USA form with all the call ups that Poch has been doing. Some of these guys I barely know a thing about. Most won't sniff the WC roster. A bit of a mystery. I don't know who he favors. Even the World Cup groups seem kinda dull.

But i'll start paying attention as he tries to figure out his roster. Finally. Maybe.

The good ole US of A played the first of two scheduled friendlies today.

Absolutely smoked by No. 9 in the world Belgium — at least the scoreline says so. 5-2.

            USA is currently No. 16.

It started out as a good match.the US put the pressure on early. had some quality moments, and the early lead.

Then a slew of horrendous individual defensive moments turned the game quickly.

Tim Weah was playing right defensive back. He was brutally embarrassed multiple times by Man City’s Doku. He’s so shifty and fast. I thought Weah was fast!

Looks like Poch is seriously considering Weah as a right back option. Seems a bit late in the game to toy with his position. It did not go well for Weah. I like him though.

McKennie had a nice goal. I still dislike his stupid, unnecessary yellow cards. Especially early in the game. Wish he’d get past that.

            Jedi played today! Yay.
