@wrwlumpy Great pics. Karloff? Wasn’t he British? Big Country? OSU? You’re confusing the heck out of me.

@Hawk8086 Lon Chaney Jr. in a Frankenstein movie. Big country is in the famous Oklahoman’s category.

Tisdale was one of my favorite opponents of all time. He was the enemy when we played them, but you couldn’t help but love that smile. I had the pleasure of seeing him play in person as he was at OU when I was in grad school at KU. He passed way too soon.
-
Great starting five. Thin on the bench. We played more people, we get to sleep in our own beds 300 feet away from the locker room. OU played a nail-biter. Travel is easy from Norman unless they take a bus. Last time 1 played 2 was 1990 against Mizzou. Frank or Devonte will always have to be on the court against Buddy. C-5 vs. Spangler. We’re not in Korea anymore.

I always liked those Billy Tubbs teams, with Mookie and the gang. When we faced them for the national championship, nobody gave us a chance. It was quite the upset when we won.
-
Unreal. Had no clue Dan Moynihan spent his first six years as an Okie! Great find.
-
@KUSTEVE Oooh, I was just the opposite. I hated OU, not as much anymore. But Billy Tubbs “we know we’re the better team” which was said after the game. Stacey King when he was drafted by the Bulls, “it’s great coming to Chicago because I’ll be able to get some great endorsements” to just their arrogance. They were good I’ll give you that. But Billy not subbing in that championship game was one of the great coaching blunders in title game history, right up there with Guy Lewis telling Phi Slamma Jamma they no longer could run up and down the court against NCState.
I heard a story that the year before I was on campus that a game for the Big 8 championship was played on our floor and it went to OT and OU trounced us, called TO at the end of the game so they could celebrate on our floor. Classless.

@wrwlumpy You forgot a couple of famous Okies. How can you leave out Bill Self and Xavier Henry, the first OAD in KU history.
