Say it aint so, Bo :(

He’s the man who made me care about UW basketball almost as much as KU, and that means a lot! I knew this day would come sometime soon. At least he’ll be around one more year for hopefully another deep run into the tourney.

@wissoxfan83 A class act that wll be missed in CBB.
-
One of the most fun teams to watch in the NCAA. No ugly ball at Wisconsin.
-
@wissoxfan83
-
After posting the article I read another one that said he never had a top 25 recruiting class at Wisconsin, but almost always had top 25 teams.
-
I really enjoyed watching Bo and his squad in the Tournament this season. What a fine job he did with Dekker and Kaminski. 40 years of coaching…WOW!
-
One old school coach that believes helping young men turn into men and getting an education is more important than winning games. A class act that will be missed; college BBall could use more coaches like him.
-
@JayHawkFanToo Well stated.
-
@wissoxfan83I just fell in love with the team and Bo is leaving? I wish I had seen the light sooner. I hope the assistant coach gets the job, and that he somehow maintains the standards and level of play Bo has brought to the program. Big shoes. I’ll be rooting for them.

Just back from vacation so I’ve been off the grid for the better part of two weeks-I did see we did fine against Canada at Sprint thanks to some posts here and a link or two-many thanks.
As for Bo, this caught me by surprise too. He will be missed-loved what he did at Wisconsin.
-
@JayhawkRock78 did u have a great time?
-
@Crimsonorblue22 Some of it was great-sometimes we dealt with logistical problems that everyone dislikes. We came home tired instead of refreshed.
-
It reminds me of going on vacation with the kids when they were young; by the time we got home I was so tired that I needed to take a vacation from my vacation…:(
-
@JayHawkFanToo I STILL need a vacation from my vacation! Four days in Vegas = at least a week to recoup.
-
@nuleafjhawk Reminds me of the old Bill Cosby routine that talked about people at work -they worked all week looking forward to a weekend to relax-and then TOTALLY destroy themselves on the weekend. And it would take them days to recover while they worked.
-
@wissoxfan83 Yep, the first domino fell. Who else will be next? We have Roy, Coach K, Pitino, Brown, Boeheim and half a dozen others I know I am forgetting. Based on age alone, i think LB will retire next…again.
-
@wissoxfan83 Bo is leaving the possibility of return after this season open: http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/13428654/bo-ryan-wisconsin-badgers-not-totally-sure-retire-2015-16-season
-
@Lulufulu I think Boeheim is on his way out as well (a bit less ceremoniously)… Coach K should be on that list…
Kaminsky’s note gave me goose bumps. This is what it should be all about.
-
@approxinfinity I saw that and I’m not sure I like it. Kind of Favre like to me. Could hurt recruiting for whoever comes next I’d think.
-
@wissoxfan83 Today I saw on Espn that he isnt totally sure that he will hang it up after this season. Can’t blame the guy for being the slightest bit indecisive about this one. Its a huge decision. He is a great coach. A genuine good guy in the sport with too many slime balls in it. He isnt that old. Heck, our own LB has nearly 10 years on him. What ever he decides to do with his life at this point is his decision and all the so called professional analysts out there can only speculate about what he will do.
