-
Pineda (5-0) on the hill for Yanks with a 2+ ERA. Walk to SO is 3 to 50+. Esky grounds out followed by Moose going to left for a double.
-
Cain doubles off wall in deep left center scoring Moose. Big Stick Hos up.

Hos grounds to short, Cain to 3rd.

Kendrys grnds to 2nd. Royals 1-0 after 1.

@brooksmd hey!! So far so good! Ate at terrabonne downtown, had cream brûlée from a food cart, mmmmmm! Watching game!
-
Ok I’m back from the concessions. Young got the Yanks 1-2-3 in the top of the 2nd. Gordo grnd out leading off for the Royals.
-
Sounds better than my kraut dogs and beer. Salvey on after Yanks boot grnd ball.
-
Royals go down in their half of the 2nd. So far Pineda has no SO’s so Royals taking advantage of the fact he throws alot of strikes and getting wood on the ball.
-
Young gave up a 2 out walk but again shuts down the Yanks.
-
Esky pops out to short. Moose goes hard down right field line for a triple.
-
@brooksmd I’m ahead if u, even in lawrence
-
@Crimsonorblue22 Yeah, I’m back to MLB feed again. Cain flys deep center and Moose scores. Royals 2-0 with 2 outs.
-
Hos grnds to 2nd and ends the 3rd. Royals 2-0.
-
A-Rod leads off 4th with a double after what appeared to be poor communications between Cain and Orlando. Rod advances to 3rd on a base hit then scores on sac fly.
-
Going to bottom of the 4th, Royals 2-1.
-
Hey beer man, over here!
-
After 2 outs Salvey singles to left. Infante singles to right, Salvey stops at 2nd. Orlando lines to center. After 4 it’s Royals 2-1. Det is leading St Louis 1-0.
-
Top of the 5th, after getting first 2 hitters Young gives up a walk. Third out is grnd out to Young.

@brooksmd Ok I migrated us to another server with the latest and greatest board software on it. We lost the last couple messages but I figured it wasn’t a big deal as no one’s really on, so I went ahead with the move. Should be straight now.
-
sweet win by the Royals!
-
@bskeet Hope theres plenty in the whoopass jar for 2 more games.
From foxsportskc,com:
“Friday night, Young took the ball in another spot start, dazzling again across 5 2/3 innings of one-run ball. He struck out two and limited the New York bats to just four hits. In his three starts this season, Young owns a 0.54 ERA, the only earned run he’s allowed coming during Friday’s fourth inning. His overall ERA jumped from a miniscule 0.78 to a slightly less miniscule 0.94. Opponents have collected just 11 hits off the right-hander. They are managing a .113 batting average against Young.”
These are the best stats of ANY starter for KC this season. This may turn out to be Dayton Moore’s best move this year, however Kendrys Morales has swiftly made a memory of Billy Butler, & the committee in right has said adios to Aoki Doki just as quickly. Go bash the Bombers again men, this is fun to watch & the whole weekend is a virtual sellout even with krappy weather, like last week vs Detroit. Mr K is smiling down once again guys, keep loose the MOOSE !!
-
@globaljaybird Absolutely a joy to watch Young again last night. And when the boys broke loose with the wood it was like a merry-go-round. Loved every minute. If the will of the crowd last nite could have had an effect on that fourth hit by Moose that damn thing would’ve sailed over the wall rather than bouncing off of it. And I think if Cain and Orlando had more experience with each other, Cain would’ve had that deep fly that led to the Yanks only run. Cain looked like he pulled up to see what Orlando was doing. But like you I just hope they left plenty in the jar for the next 2 games.

Duffy comes back out to the mound tonight, hope he can find some control of his pitches and break this little slump.
