Kansas Jayhawks vs Arizona Wild Cats Game Chat Mon. 2/9 8:00 CT
-
Some people would argue Arizona has the best front court in the nation and flory and tiller were better than them. They looked like grown men tonight
-
I think we wore out the bigs a bit, but they were still making shots at the end.
-
Note: No court storming
Everyone stayed until Bill finished his interview
Class. -
Melvin and Tre were a combined 7-31 from the floor tonight.... and we won.
-
Iowa st still undefeated at home. Another unbeaten to knock off this week?
-
@wissox83 Their combined 12-13 from the line helped.
-
I just remembered how Jamari kept us alive for a stretch in the first half! Just wonderful!
-
@Jayblaze Jamari was great all game. Big boards and loose balls second half. Kept the ball moving on offense
-
Wow - your score prediction was spot on
-
Some info circulating on instagram about what the source of the "flu-like symptoms" actually was.
Might have something to do with why Self was so jubilant (which reminded me of the post-game celebration after the OT win vs Missouri.)
-
Shout out to Tre for stepping up and knocking in those FTs after his worst game as a Jayhawk. Feel like he is risking his shot all the sudden.
-
@bskeet It was floating around X too. Daniel Berk, senior associate AD for strategic communications for KU, responded back and said “ The person texting in this video is a contracted crew worker who handles official stats during the game for ESPN. He does not work for KU and is not affiliated with the athletic department in any way. He has no inside information and was speculating. We are handling internally.”
Pretty wacky stuff. I don’t know what to believe at this point.
-
Most importantly, this was one of the craziest games in the Phog I’ve ever seen. No matter what happens in March, this team will go down as one of my all time favorites. They embody everything that Kansas basketball is about.
-
@ARbosshawk What?? Are you telling me that something floating around the internet might be wrong or taken out of context?? I simply can't believe it
-
@ARbosshawk I honestly don’t get why it is a big deal either way. Dude was sick and didn’t play, on to the next.
-
@jayhawk_69 @kjayhawks2.0 It probably wasn’t a big deal. Social media is just hyperbolic and will propagate any narrative that generates views and reactions.
-
God damn I love having Melvin Council on the team. Just thinking about him barking makes me happy
-
I didn't repeat what was shown and said on instagram because it's far too easy for things to be fabricated and look real. But if it's not true, someone is going to a lot of effort to put DP and Coach in a bad light.
-
Among the many good things about tonight's game... it made me completely forget that the Chiefs didn't make the postseason and the Super Bowl was a crappy game.
-
Even if not true, pretty darn frustrating having your best player sit on the bench time and time again. Especially after he had back to back 30+ minute games, I was hoping he and his health had finally come around. Glad we can win without him, because every single game his non-obvious ailments have us all wondering whether he will play or not. Yes, he’s amazing, but is also equal parts frustrating.
