Lance is COOKING
-
@approxinfinity yes and no. Mass Street Collective is the “official” agency that handles it all. Donors can select which sport their donations support when they donate. Buuuut all that is going under the roof of KUAD this summer when revenue sharing becomes a real thing. Businesses can also reach out to athletes directly, but that’s less common.
-
One thing KU has going for it is that I believe we have a very good reputation for paying whatever NIL money we say we will pay. Where other schools… well, not so much.

A very fun, but very stressful time to be working in KUAD right now I imagine.
-
Lance is STILL cooking, we got that commit- - -Hunter Higgins , top De in the state of Kansas— -we have a bright future, they are really building a strong core
-
@FarmerJayhawk No need to worry about money. They will come to Lawrence for the city, the camaraderie and love of the game.
Oh, I crack myself up
-
Im ready for football season.
-
@approxinfinity Me toooo. -Go teem go- - Rah , Rah , Rah, Sisk Boom Bah - -lol.- -No Seriously I really am. Coach and staff really building something nice for the future.

The way the portal and recruiting works, it’s pretty much always football season.
-
@KirkIsMyHinrich I feel like he means when they’re actually playing and can pull off amazing feats like being the only team in the history of college football to be unranked and beat three Top 25 teams in consecutive weeks, but not be good enough to go to even a crappy bowl game.
@approxinfinity , please correct me if I’m out of line.
-
@nuleafjhawk lol! Nailed it!
-
Lance is running a border line shit show and everyone here is ready to give him a raise and pronounce him a saint for sticking around. Meanwhile a coach that has won at the highest level for 2 decades and won a national championship 3 years ago while his recruiting pipeline was impeded by the NCAA is the one folks want to run off? KU fans are so damn entitled it’s disgusting.
-
I don’t know if I can agree that Lance is running a borderline shit show. Even with last season not going how we expected he is still way ahead of schedule. But yes, KU fans are comically entitled when it comes to basketball.
-
Sure we are entitled. Its easier than muddling through mediocrity in silence when your GOAT coach seems to be losing the midas touch.
-
Since winning the title in 2022 we have had:
2023: a season where we won the Big 12 and earned a one seed but got bounced early
2024: our worst season under Bill Self but we lost our best player due to injury and were still ranked all season and never in danger of missing the tournament
2025: mostly TBD but right now looks like a borderline top-10 team that is a long shot to win the title
That is nowhere near bad enough to panic. If you don’t believe me look at the history of every other program in college basketball. If we have a couple more below-average seasons or ever miss the tournament then there might be cause for concern.

Also,in 2023 something else pretty serious happened right before the tournament.

@Jhawk69 Far from a shit show, if people can’t see the overall turnaround this program has made the I don’t know what to tell them other then they are just lost.- -He is killing it in the 2026 recruiting and the transfers he has coming in-- -Come on.
Before Lance got here we were so far down in that bottomless pit, nobody knew what the meaning of light was unless they looked it up in Websters.-- If anyone can stand here and look me in the face that five years ago and back w would be getting kids the caliber from Schools such as Alabama - - -Auburn – Florida St- - S Carolina and say different I would call BS.
Before Lance came in those types of kids if we tried to recruit them --they would hardly acknowledge us little lone commit to us. Now we are in recruiting wars with some of the Big time Schools for some of these kids and actually getting those commit – No where close to a shit show, you want a shit show go talk to Weis.
Lance got us to back to back bowls and how long had that been before Lance- -What was our roster count BEFORE Lance showed - low enough one year we couldn’t even have a spring game
These kids before didn’t want to come to play for some crappy low football program and be part of a laughing stock of College football.- -Now they see commitment from the staff, look what’s getting done Weight room huge upgrade- - New stadium instead of what the hell ever that thing was- -we are starting to be able to get into the Kansas recruits win them over, where before wasn’t even going to the Schools to try and recruit high quality players- - ya we had a bad Season but wasn’t because of a shit show, it was where the defense couldn’t maintain leads for one thing- -I’m telling you this defense is on the verge of being nasty from the efforts and results Lance is getting – -I’m ready for football, good to see a competitive team again, be able to go watch College football in Larwrence again instead of a circus where the Captains use to say OK name your score at how bad we were getting our ass kicked on a weekly basis- - Lance is doing just fine
-
2026 class is already good and it has a chance to be special. This will be an important weekend.
-
I’d rather watch the football at this point and see what crazy play or rule kills in the last two minutes of a game. I’ll take that over the Lazies which my new nickname for the basketball team. They don’t seem to want play and put forth minimal effort. If we don’t spank KSU tomorrow I’m done with these over compensated losers.
-
@KirkIsMyHinrich Huge weekend. Just watched pod cast of ranking of 2026 Kansas players- -just came out with up dated rankings. So far Ku has verbals from # ( 1 0 player J J Dunnigan – - The # ( 4 ) player Hunter Higgins- - & the # ( 9 ) player Jayden Mason
Huge , Huge weekend on this Jr day – the other scouting service has Premer as the # 1 ) player and Dunnigan 2nd - -But he is coming and he is going to be with our three in state commits Higgins-- -Dunnigan – & Mason - -rumor has it we have a GREAT shot at this kid , Synder coming in- -Several big time recruits coming in
The talk has been for some time that we are on the verge of a top 25 class for 26 and been said people saying this is the year that KU has been mentioned for just cleaning up with a great class- can’t wait.- -Thing is long time till December of 2025 going to have to hang on to guys once committed but looks great.- – K ? State absolutely thinks they still can flip Dunnigan I don’t think so
-
My Goodness. Lance and the staff really our just killing it sounds/looks like in 2026 recruiting-- - rumor has been spreading that 2026 was Lane’s year in recruiting especially local in State kids which has been lacking in past Coaching staffs. – Not in 2026 , KU at this point I checked had a top 20 ranking for their 2026 class.
In 2026 so far we have the # 1 or # 2 ranked player in the State has committed name is J J Dunnigan – the # 4 ranked player in the State & ranked as the # 32 player in the Nation has committed name is Hunter Higgins - - -The # 9 ranked player in the State has committed name is Jayden Mason. On top of this read/saw today we have received CB picks for Tgren Parker - -( Athlete ) – then we have a CB down for Nate Sims -WR ( announcing his decision on the 23rd, & we are the favorite for him WR - -Then the cream from today is A 4 * OL Kayden Synder - - with receiving these CB’s means we are in really good shape. These three picks that all came in today came from the K/State analyst predicting these three are landing at KU.
On top of that we are in a really good spot for the # 1 TE end in Kansas- name is Ian Premer, has been to visit KU multiple times and Jr day , Coach is cleaning up in State , no more of out of State Schools coming in and swiping quality players right here out of Kansas under our nose If we land Premer- — would give us Seven of the top kids from right here in Kansas. - - also in on Josh Galbreath a Rb right here in Lawrence- then the # 1 player WR out of the State of Nebraska Amarion Jackson- - been to visit KU multiple times and Jr day.- -Sitting up to be a massive year in 2026
-
Nate Sims commits to Kansas. He is a wide receiver.
-
I know guys I just posted on this recently so I apologize here but I can’t help it. I’m so stoked about football at KU anymore , can you believe it?- --Football .
What this staff has done for our once laughing stock in America so called program where we were just happy if we could keep it close for a half. Now - -Now- -what Lance and his guys have done is awesome , Our Coach has come in here and shown that he is really invested to OUR football program. He saw changes and I mean major changes that needed to happen , Weight room , And a remodel almost complete tear down of the old shambled way out of date Stadium & facilities and it’s coming to life.
Lance came in and I still remember something he said , he told his wife after a game something that struck him and that was he says – - Look these fans are cheering for us keeping the game close – not that we won ( We Lost ) - -but he couldn’t believe we were cheering cause we had kept it close. - he made up his mind those days were over , we are now a competitive program at least. We can actually look forward to going to the game and knowing we can play with these teams - -be competitive and actually win many of these games .
Not only has Lance gotten upgrades done with the Stadium and other pieces BUT he and the Staff has worked their tails off and it’s showing we have gradually gotten better talent, better athletes , higher ranked players from all over the Country. Kids that ten years ago even eight years ago wouldn’t even allow us to talk to them - - couldn’t come close to get in their doors,- -Now ?- - - Now- - -Now not only are these higher ranked kids not only listening to Coach’s talks- - Some of these higher rated more talented kids are committing/transferring here to us.
Oh and you don’t think the things that are going on here haven’t been noticed by others ? - Think again my friends-- Our little brothers down the interstate at the Petting Zoo are HOT- -dis belief- - -frustration , whatever or however you want to put it , it’s ok. Bottom line is the keepers of that petting zoo in Manflattin are NOT HAPPY – not happy at all. Why ? – because they know their rein of their winning ways against us are coming to an end and coming soon.
Further proof of our turnaround is getting key commits. Our class of 2026 has a very good chance of being insane.-- Right now a of this point depending where you look we have either the 17 the ranked class in the nation. Or in the other ranking is the 21st best in the Nation for 2026 Another very key point is Lance & staff has finally been able to recruit and get talented kids right here in our own back yard from Kansas.- -No more of Iowa St and K/State just swooping up all the talented kids. The Staff has been able to get back and make that connect with Kansas High School coach’s and kids , been a long time from them just being ignored by KU. . As of today w have gotten huge commits from the following Kansas Recruits and they are good : -We have gotten the either # 1 - or # 2 depending which report you look at J J Dunnigan , Dunnigan is a 3 * CB – We have got the # 4-- -Hunter Higgins a 4 * Edge- - -We got the # 9 player-- -Jayden Mason a 3 * QB— -Then we got Nate Sims a speedy WR - he is ranked in the top 10 but I don’t have it , Think he # 7 - -on top of these guys we are in really good shape with these other kids from Kansas ranked in the top 10
They are : - -Either the # 1 or # 2 rated player Ian Premer you can just flip him and JJ either way good possibility of having the # 1 & # 2 rated both -most have him as the # 1 ranked TE in Kansas- - - then we have # 5 rated Joshua Galbreath r LB another 3 * - -then there is the # 8 ranked player a Wr/Ath --Tyren Parker a 3 *- -then the last one we got the # 10 rated player Kayden Synder another 3 * on the verge of a 4 * player OT.- -If we land these four which again we are in really good shape , that would give us SEVEN of the top TEN players from the State of ?Kansas-- Lance and Staff are COOKING.
K/State’sfans response to all of this si either : - -they backed of these players, they wasn’t as good as people think or they really didn’t want them- -or there is questions arehacing the Parents around the entire Season kinda shaddy things not good people they say. They say this after they find out things aren’t looking good for them.- – I’n Stoked friends-- ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY .
A
-
Josh Galbreath to Kansas. A pretty nice get for us. He also had offers from Kansas St, Iowa St, Illinois, and Michigan.
-
Most likely a linebacker.
-
KU has now gotten commits from the # 1 or 2 player in the state depending which site you look at- 3 5 by 247 sports , - we have the # - 4 player in the state - -the # 6 player in the state - - # 9 player in the State – -& the # 11 player in the state
Plus we still have a really good shot at the # 3 player in the state-- - & pretty decent chance yet at the #-- 1 player in the state we get them that would be 8 out of the top eleven ranked kids in Kansas
Right now Ku is ranked 17th in the Nation recruiting for 2026 &- -# 1 in the Big Twelve
-
Malachi Mills to Kansas. He is an offensive lineman. Had offers from Akron, Colorado St, E. Michigan, and FAU. He has an overall player rating of 86.
Good pickup. Can never have too many offensive lineman.
-
Never thought the football team would be keeping me sane in late January. Strange times.
-
We have a great chance of getting seven of the top eleven recruits from Kansas and ONE more if we could snap-- - -Ian Premer would be a huge get.# 1 player in the State of Kansas.
Lance and the guys have busted down the barrier that was with the Kansas High School Coach’s and KU Staff. A lot of bad blood between Kansas High School Coach’s and Previous KU staff. KU staff didn’t recruit their own Kansas kids, a lot of times not giving them even the time of daay , caused a lot of friction. Lance and his group have re connected and finally has gotten through, mde good friendships now and doing quite wll and K/State people hate it
3
-
Kaden Snyder to KU. He is a 4-star offensive tackle with a rating of 0.90. Another Kansas kid from Salina. He had offers from K-State, Duke, Wisconsin and Arkansas. Really big pickup. The staff is on quite a tear with in-state recruiting and recruiting in general.
-
I believe we are also expected to get a commit from Landen Anderson, who is a defensive tackle.
-
We now have 6 of the top 11 recruits from the state of Kansas with a good shot at getting Tyren Parker (WR) and a chance to get Ian Premer (TE) as well. Premer is the #1 recruit in Kansas and has offers from Oregon, Notre Dame, Texas A&M and several other good schools, so that will be a hard fight to get him in Lawrence.
-
I will say it helps that Premer is friends with Kaden Snyder and some of the other KU commits, but recruiting against Oregon, ND, A&M is not easy.
-
Lance and staff are ABSOLUTELY ON FIRE – —kicking ass and taking names, - - BUT let us remember this is Lance’s weak area- - he can’t recruit lmao.
Now in all seriousness we may get them to commit – BUT the key is to keep them from flipping to other schools before signing day.
Can’t do nothing but help on Ian , with all these other ranked kids committing & being friends with Synder- – -- -ROCK CHALK BABY
-
We got another one tonight.- -Landen Anderson,- - which KirkIsMyHinrich-- giving us nine commits for 2026.- -There was rumor the way things were headed this was suppose to be a big year for Lance-- looks like its workin out
-
According to Rivals KU now has the - - -Nineth ranked recruiting class in 2026 - & 247 sports has us as the thirteenth the Nation
-
And here we go, lil brother starting to whimper.-- K/Stat even has a podcast about this now-- Is K/State losing the recruiting battle to in state rival.
We start as to why KU is getting these recruits : - -K/State cooled off in recruiting them - -Some of these kids had KU backgrounds and K/State was never going to get them- - - -They say this is just a one year cycle , not to panic - - -This kid not as good as being talked about— - - -K/State never interested -and JJ Dunnigan recruitment far from over- - Which might be true, but thing is-----he committed to KU right now lmao- - K/State feels they are still in the lead with IAN- & yet Ian has visited Ku more then any other school that’s recruiting him-- ( 4 )
There you have it guys - -let the crying begin.-- Hang onto your butts cause , it’s only gonna get worse
-
At this rate we’ll have the 26 group wrapped before the 25 class even shows up
-
@FarmerJayhawk I think I like it. Remember this is where Lance is weak- - so they say.
Were in pretty good shape with Tyren Parker & Ian Premer
-
Be on your toes guys for another one.- -Coach Ianello put his search light up again about a hour ago. - --Some was talking about a Rb top 15 in the Nation. - -Hunter Higgins saying we need to show him some love, not quite sure who it might be
-
Corbin Glasco just committed. WR.
Staff continues to cook.
-
@KirkIsMyHinrich Speed , Speed , And more Speed
-
Jack Utz to Kansas. Tight End. Had offers from Mizzou, K-State, Nebraska, Colorado, Arkansas, Wisconsin, among other schools.
His offer list is probably better than his 247 rating.
-
Mercy, they just keep rollin in - -got to love it
-
KU now has the 5th best class of 2026 according to Rivals - -& the 11th best class of 2026 according to 247
Dam I wish this Coaching staff could recruit lol. – ROCK CHALK
