This game went from looking like a beat down to fight real quick. I actually wanted to see how the new kicker is. But yes can’t get a yard vs FCS that’s pretty disappointing when they picked up a 4th and 8.

A little adversity in the first half and think we thought it was over after both teams had a possession. Bean continues to throw into triple coverage as a super senior. If he throws that first one in conference play it’s a walk-in pick 6. I look for us to come out fired up here

Hishaw needs to get in a series. He should be a big part of our offense this year.

I would give that first half an F. It barely escapes F- territory because we are still winning and we were playing with a backup QB. Overall a terrible performance, stuffed on 4th and 1 by an FCS team, terrible third and fourth down defense, and the one positive (tackles for loss) will almost surely go away once FBS play starts. Hoping for a better second half and rest of season, but its looking like we are back to being a 1-11 or 2-10 caliber team as of now.

@stoptheflop he fumbled the first time he touched it and set up MSU in plus territory for their only TD. I think we’ll see him again but he’s a big reason why it’s close.

I can live with the second half, won 31-7 which is really what the first could’ve been with mistake free football. I like the defense got some turnovers tho they were really just forced passes down 4 scores late but winning that battle every week is a must.

I’ll give the second half a B+. Hopefully Daniels and Grimm are okay.

ya you figure even if we would of got 3 when Hishaw fumbled , and then we had unsportsman like conduct at the two - -possible 10 more points taken off

521 yards to – -217 yards - -ew had 276 yards passin a QBR of 184.9 hard to beat that with a 79 % completion rate.
Still lots of work to do though, much tougher next Friday. - -man I hope Jalen gets well

@jayballer67 I was probably a little hard on him in the first half. I just don’t trust his decision making the slightest. Not often will you throw the ball into triple coverage twice and not have an INT in the book. He under threw Arnold on a walk in TD in the first and had several passes behind the receiver that the guys bailed him out on. Add in not pulling the ball for a 15 yard gain and letting Neal get blown up for 7 yard loss. With all that being said he had a great second half and ain’t many back ups coming in and putting up those numbers. I’m still happy we have him.
