Doke
-
-
Dam I hate this , hope Big man will be all right - -this is the kind of thing that he doesn’t need when he is trying to make the big time
-
Here’s a horrible punchline… The only break the kid can get. hope for the best.
-
That totally sucks.
-
Argh. I HOPE it’s not too bad. Ankle injuries sometimes look a hell of a lot worse than they actually are. (I’m not digging the internets for closeup video) but I’m hoping for the best for the big guy. Doke had a couple ankle sprains at KU too… the one against Wofford looked like a career ender, but he recovered. Then the one last year against Kstate, and he came back from that too.
Like I said, hoping for the best. Youthful ligaments and stuff.
-
Heard they took him off on a stretcher
-
oh no that looks horrible
-
This isn’t the first time someone has destroyed their lower leg the first game of the season. Wasn’t it the first game for Gordon Hayward a few years ago? I wonder if shoes can get a massive redesign to handle sideways motion, I don’t see why you would ever want full sideways motion and this could be heavily restricted.
-
What’s worse is the foot he landed on was none other then Omari Spellman, the same jackass that made a bunch of 3’s against KU in the final four playing against Doke…
-
Caught a non break https://www.deseret.com/sports/2021/2/11/22278189/udoka-azubuike-out-indefinitely-for-utah-jazz-with-severe-ankle-sprain
-
Good news!
-
What I figured. My wife rolled her ankle on a stick at the dog park a couple weeks ago and it looked worse than Doke’s sprain.
I don’t understand the “gruesome” and “devastating” hyperbole. Have none of these other NBA players or coaches or sportswriters ever sprained their ankle before? If a bone ain’t poking out or a joint isn’t stuck the wrong direction, don’t use those words.
-
Dokes playing in the summer league, right now. He’s on the jazz white vs Spurs. I don’t know who all is on what teams. Malik was playing last game. Jazz blue.
-
Marcus is on espn2 now
-
Maclung is a dirty a$$
-
Again!
-
I started watching halfway in the 3rd. Marcus was still Marcus. Thanks for mentioning this. It was nice to see him play.
-
I don’t know if you get nba tv, but I saw Doke play too. I know Wayne is on a team, Malik, Dawson bros. Frank, 76ers. I think they play in Orlando then in Vegas. Not positive.
-
Tarik is playing with Denver, Lawson’s with Celtics.
-
Tonight Doke was 9-9, 11 boards, 2 steals, 3 blks, 2 to’s + 23

Doke hi lights
-
Dokes playing Malik now, espnu 8
-
Love the frustrated look or po’d look Teague gave Doke!
-
I caught a glimpse of Frank at a time out on the side line of the 76ers. Looks like he’s injured. Had a plain white T-shirt on, was stretching his shoulder or arm, anyone know what’s up? His break,
-
Doke and Marcus are playing each other, 4:00 central, espnu
-
@Crimsonorblue22 I missed it. Marcus only had 7 minutes? What happened there? Doke was 8/8 with 9 rebounds! Awesome stuff
-
They didn’t say!
-
@rockchalkwyo saw he had some sort of illness
-
@Woodrow thx! Glad he didn’t get hurt. Hear anything about frank? I saw a lil bit of selden, nothing good in the beginning. All I saw. They were stacked.
-
Heat plays at 3, on espn2.
-
No Marcus! Frank is playing, nbatv
-
No Marcus does not make sense. Something else is going on.
-
@AsadZ still sick, I’m guessing
-
Jazz plays at 4 on espn2, followed by Frank at 6. Nbatv has Chicago at 9, Spurs, Malik at 5. Malik and d dot have been doing good. I think dot has signed a contract.
-
Fun watching Doke do exactly what he did in College against Pro’s. Wonder if he’ll have a role in someway with the Jazz this year. Such an unique force of nature in the paint
-
Anyone seen Doke’s new shooting stroke from the FT line? The Jazz absolutely worked with him on fixing it, completely different now. He was making it look easy in Summer League at the line.
-
Stay healthy!
-
I see Doke on the Jazz’s roster at 6’10". He’s too young to be shrinking, so I wonder if they measure players without shoes or what the difference is for his 7 foot measurement at KU.
-
KU has special scales for BB players.
-
Was looking to see if Dok made the Jazz. Sounds like he’ still recovering from injury. Fun story with a great Mic’d up link. They make it sound like he may not have a roster spot. bummer.
