Ok guys , just got through listening to our signing day special. - -NOW I feel better , I knew they could pick me up. - - Sounds like we have a solid class.
The Big thing that I really like and it is BIG the approach Coach Miles and his Staff has taken. All these kids High School kids , you got to love that. - This Staff has really gotten after it Coast to Coast From California to Florida .
Some very solid pieces , got some special - -got some speed. - Kerishawn Brown OLB -has 4.5 - 40 speed -Johnquai Lewis was mentioned Multiple times.
You can see coach is going after size - - BIG Tight Ends - -6’5 225 - - - 6’7 240 -those are big guys
Think we have a couple of true studs in the making with Lawrence Arnold - -People really drooling about him - had some really good offers, - - the other Triston Golightly 6’5 205

Disappointed that DE Khari Coleman flipped to TCU, Jaylin Richardson from KC flipped to UNI sounds like to play RB, and we couldn’t flip OL Josh Remetich from Tulane. Looks like a decent class, sucks the only surprises went the other way.

KU pulled Richardson’s scholarship. That is why he ended up @ UNI.

We won’t add on net until 2022. There are 26 juniors and RS juniors that are about to be seniors.

And just to add a bit to that, we’re going to keep borrowing from the next class until 2022. This sophomore class is tiny (combined 12 RS and true sophomores) so we can borrow a few each year and stay in the same zip code on numbers until this sophomore group graduates in 2022, and we’ll make progress toward 85 with the class of 2022.

As it stands KUs class is ranked 45th. (Not bad!) It appears to be an off year recruiting for the big 12 as a whole though -

Too bad the rules are such that KU can’t fill up its roster completely for several more years. It’d be nice if Les could sign 13 juco guys to go with his 25 HS recruits next season to even the numbers out in that (now sophomores) class.

I know we’re petitioning for more counters but it seems unlikely.

@jayballer73 We had 23 seniors this season. If we sign the max of 25 (we most likely do with 18 in the early session) we would net gain 2 players as long as no one transfers. But people also forget that I believe a couple of those seniors we former walk ons and/or actual walk ons that weren’t really D1 guys. Getting 2 or 3 full classes with mostly high schoolers will help a ton.

It’s a long process to even classes back out if you go heavy on juco guys for a couple of years. KU needs to probably sign 20+ HS players every year just to get back to even numbers in 2022.
This class looks good and athletic. They have a couple of local guys that are good signings, although they may only end up representing special teams and depth. Richardson would have been a nice get because he is pretty athletic, but I understand wanting to stay at RB vs. moving to the defensive side of the ball. Either way, KU got more athletic with this group, and that is genuine progress.
Now they just have to do it all over again next year.

There’s zero doubt Franks would be the most talented QB we’ve ever had. That’s the Les Miles effect. Dude was a top 50 overall recruit and will be an NFL player.
I don’t remember if I made this exact point here but without him, this feels like a 2 win team. Franks takes us to 4-5 just on what he can do with Dearmon. That’s CRUCIAL for us moving to the 21 and 22 classes, where the staff will really make their money.

He’s Uber talented for sure. Nothing is done until he’s on campus and in crimson and blue but all I feel good about saying now is much more likely than not.

Can’t really get a true feel about Scott. - -have things being said both ways. Just my personal take I’m afraid he will flip. -I know he was suppose to be taking a trip to Arkansas, don’t know how that turned out or if he has taken it yet.

All performance dependent. If he carries this team to 4-5 wins the NFL will take notice. If he continues to struggle in making decisions and we flounder you 2, he’s a day 3/UDFA developmental guy.

Well Farmer ,we may not be getting Clayton - -BUT sure looks like Colorado not keeping him either. – Clayton took most his Colorado stuff off his twitter , and he took off his pinned Colorado commitment - -and his Colorado profile.
