I've been losing my mind for over four years now
-
NO really I have been. I have CTE (what Junior Seau had) caused by TBI cause by too many damn concussions in life. It’s a long story as how I got them all, so really it’s a bunch of stories that can be long.
Any way I’d like to say if my memory serves me correctly, but it doesn’t.
I’ve had sever headaches until this past January when I had a ocipital nerve pain simulator implanted on my brain to get rid of them. I tell you this as I head for another surgery this week on my neck.
I have to have another disk fused(already had c5-c6 fused 4 years ago) and a bone spur removed from a vertebrae.
I will miss a few games as I’m sure I will be cooked up on some type of pain pill as I recover for three months. But when the pain is that much for this long it is time to make it stop and unlike so many I have looked for help in so many placed and not been to afraid to let others know that I am in pain, maybe it’s because Ididn’t play college or pro football I have done this, maybe it’s because I want to see my kids grow up?
Now I know you don’t know who I am and I’m not a everyday poster here and most likely people would not have noticed I was gone. BUT if you see a strange post or rant or something that just doesn’t make any sense, well it’s the drugs talking, it doesn’t mean I’m from missery, these drugs are legal by prescription and not made in my uncles trailer by the creek.
S I hope I will be able to check in and see what you are all talking about and to get all my news on everything Jayhawks here between all my naps.
Keep posting, keep each other on your toes and most of all enjoy the moment that is now, because tomorrow is not guaranteed!

Best of luck and may your surgery go well.

Good luck @JRyman – hope everything goes well with the surgery and you make a speedy recovery. Don’t be afraid to check in even if you feel a bit loopy. Sports fans are by nature, a bit loopy to begin with. We’ll be around!

I’ll definitely say more than a few prayers for you. Good luck and God bless.

If you need to, just dial up kubuckets & kick us around whenever. It’s much more safe than kicking the neighbors dog. Hey, we’ll be thinking of you-keep us informed when you can. God’s Speed.

@JRyman Best of luck!

I have been out of the loop for several days and am just getting caught up on my reading. If you have already had your surgery, I hope everything went perfectly and if you have not already had it, I hope everything WILL go perfectly. I will definitely keep you in my prayers. Take care my friend! Have a full and speedy recovery.
-
I hope all goes well. Check in when you can.
-
Hurry up and get better.
We’ll be waiting for you.
-
Prayers for a successful procedure and recovery.
-
Thank you all for your well wishes.
I survived another surgery this year, 3 in total.
Can’t go anywhere, do anything or eat much as my neck is in a rigid brace tip early January and lets just say I know where every little minuscule bump in the road is from home to the hospital now.
I will check in every now and then, and hopefully get a chance to follow the Jayhawks a little closer now that I’m off pills and recovering at home alone.
Rock Chalk Jayhawk KU
