Well this loss could hurt possibly. had heard a lot of very good things with him shining in camps- --QB David McComb was transferring - -really taking hits this year lost a OL also --not good.- -wasn't going to recruit a QB this year but NOW we are.
Could be a long year this coming Season as we took a step backwards this past year. -Think this past Season ,- --plus playing time - - -& portal NIL all played big parts - -like I said I think this very well could hurt big

Man we are going to take a hit when the portal opens in Jan. we lost three more and put total at sixteen so far. The biggrst this time is Harry Stewart, who had a really good chance of our feature back this coming season plus these were two others. We have been losing some really good quality players this off season- --NOT GOOD

Mark me as terrified we may not win more than two games next season. We have already lost some guys that I thought would play major factors on next season team including but not limited to Rawls and Stewart. Former WR Lawrence Arnold post on X that GM Rob Ianello is the issue and he is flat out lying to guys on what they are getting after Gage Keys mom called him out publicly. Not getting any positive vibes from Kansas Football right now, but hey we’ll have a nice new stadium to be 3/4s empty for years to come.

@kjayhawks2.0 Too early to tell. I suspect much is going on behind the scenes. There will be a TON of good players out there when the portal opens. It will be a matter of using our player procurement budget effectively. With Booth's money, I'm counting on having plently to spend. (My only concern is defensive coordinator. We should spend some money there!)

Things are insane already. We’re going to have at least a handful of visitors on campus the next few days and hopefully a couple commitments.

Got through watching Aaron Torres podcast and portal moving quick. He was saying and makes sense a lot of these kids aren't going to waste a lot of time. Many already already know where they are going to go , won't even take visits , know how much they are going to get.
Many like Rocco Becht following their Coach- -being said Rocco lands at Penn St. Lots of talk that OKLAHOMA STATE will be this years big overall winner , mainly because the former Coach at north Texas St is now at Oklahoma St got some real stud players reportedly going to follow a QB that is the # 2 QB in the portal butcher the name but think like Mantuamaker not sure threw for 34 touchdowns last year & then big time running back named Morris ran for 1400 yards.
Okie States new Coach from North Texas I think they said led the Nation in scoring hoovering in the 40 plus range and over 500 yards of offense per game lot of his boys being said going to follow. Sounds like they wanna be 2-28 version of Texas Tech-- maybe better

Notes from the portal : Of the players that was on rosters in 2025 on day one of the portal more then 25 % are now in the transfer/portal.- ----So far today-- -day one of the portal there has been THREE THOUSAND AND FIFTY SEVEN players to enter the portal.--that's just beyond insane.

The Slant had a good podcast today. Kirby was saying they’ve already done 400+ evals, lined up 20-30 visits, and could get 10+ commits over the next 10 days. And that overall the talent level will be better. I’m not sure I buy that but if it comes to fruition it’ll be a fun couple weeks.

Getting a big chunk of our front 7 recruiting done this weekend is nice.

Well here we go already , got your na sayers talking about the players that are committing from the portal. No matter what Coach L and staff do it's not good enough . Players from Miami , South Carolina , Georgia , Texas , Kentucky still not good enough,
Just because these guys didn't play a lot doesn't mean these kids still aren't good solid players , they are coming from some pretty dam good programs loaded with 5 *'s & 4 * players doesn't mean these guys aren't solid.
Some people thinking we going into portal and just pull in all these super athletes sorry to say just not going to happen. just because they didn't play a lot doesn't mean everything.-- -give these kids reps , more then 5-10 reps see how they turn out. After all there was a reason they got recruited by these schools in the first plae. Some are never happy let's see how it works out

@farmerjayhawk @rockchalk2025 I really like the focus in the trenches to start. I believe that to be the most important group on the field. Getting them on campus asap is a plus. In terms of the talent, we just won’t know until they get here and play. I just looked at the two deep from last season and believe we will only return 3 players each on both sides of the ball. There will be maybe the biggest roster turnover ever for KU football. Just have to hope LL is doing his homework and getting the right guys.

Will these players be great? Maybe. Will they suck? Again, maybe. Too early to say. I just hope we are upgrading our athleticism, especially in the trenches.

@kjayhawks2.0 It starts with line play -- offense and defense. ie A mediocre QB and RB can look great behind a stellar line. Just not sure these are the best linemen available in the portal. (We should have the $$$.)
