Greene suffers concussion against Washburn
-
@Crimsonorblue22 And thank you for looking out for me.
Appreciated.
-
@JRyman always!
-
@jaybate-1.0 The Washburn player was trying to slap at the ball, and got Devonte’s face instead. Not sure why he was grabbing the back of his head- maybe he got hit there as well. Those are some bad ass Ichabods.
-
Acute, chronic pain is a huge problem with a huge membership.
I hope you are reaching out to those with it and helping with it.
Don’t go it alone.
-
Chipman played for Hartman, who was no sissy.
And Chip is in the elite 700 club.
And I wouldn’t be surprised if Self asked for him to have his guys give KU a little business just to get KU ready for UCSB and UK.
Professional curtesy between Okie Ballers.
-
@brooksmd Think I heard Gurley say there was sort of a payback pick or something in 2nd half. Anyone else know what I don’t? SZ has my dish dark first 5 outta 6 games. Real turd in the punch owl IMO.
-
@globaljaybird big terd!!! I get the games, but I know family and friends don’t! They can get ksu, mizzou, and ISU games, but not KU. Along w/his charlie hire, this was a bad choice!! Maybe the tv deal is paying our fired fb coaches!
-
I, along with thousands of KU fans in the Metro are blacked out from football and basketball games, but how important are we really? As long as the moms and dads of the girls in the women’s rowing, tennis, swimming and golf teams, all 100 of them, can watch their girls do their thing who cares about basketball and football, it’s not like these sports pay the bills is it? Women’s rowing, tennis swimming and golf sure bring the big bucks to the athletic program…at least this seems to be Zenger’s philosophy.
I don’t have anything against the girl’s teams, none whatsoever, and I have watched many volleyball, basketball and soccer games in person, but you just don’t casually dismiss and antagonize fans of your big cash cows, that is plain stupidity bordering on lunacy.
I think we need to start a campaign on Facebook where we all post letters to Zenger; maybe if enough people complain things might change…i say this trying to keep a straight face…

@JayHawkFanToo my family in south central ks, called and emailed their displeasure last year.
-
I just go to BWW and enjoy. Otherwise, my head will implode. But I will never subscribe to TWC. In fact, I sold their stock because of it. As @JayHawkFanToo said, it “is plain stupidity bordering on lunacy.”
I would much rather have PPV.

@HighEliteMajor bww?

Mari and Kelly both got slugged last night. Brandon walked to the other end of the court with his hands on his face then collapsed in front of Self while the trainer?doctor? ran out to him. Self went out to him and told the ? to take him to the locker room. With real scary concussions going on at the Phogg, Here is what Marcus Smart was doing last night.

@jaybate-1.0 I have a a strange sense of humor, Steve Martin, mixed with Steven wright and Eddie Murphy (raw) add a little Andrew Dice clay and a splash of Larry the cable guy and I laugh at the world.
Once I lose my sense of humor or the ability to be a smart ass then it’s time to sound the sirens and alarms (just not near me what so ever) and begin to worry.
But I do appreciate the understanding and advice. Thank you

@wrwlumpy hate seeing this! Cliff needs to call this out!
-
Funny…now he has a fine coming, you can’t flop in the League.
-
@Crimsonorblue22 Buffalo Wild Wings.

The blind pick is a dangerous (but legal) play.
Dangerous because the unaware player being picked has no chance to brace or protect himself on the contact.
Legal because as long as the screener sets himself before the contact, he is not doing anything that is illegal or even dirty. I don’t see anything wrong with the screen that was set on Brannen. The player was set, he didn’t lean into the pick, and he didn’t have loose knees or elbows. He was solid and nobody warned Brannen.
The responsibility for this play is squarely on KU’s bigs. I can’t tell what the confusion was here, but either way, someone should have called that screen out. Even if it’s not your guy, someone should be absolutely screaming at Brannen so he knows that is coming.
If I’m a guard for KU and we are planning on picking up full court this year, I am absolutely tearing my big guys a new one if they aren’t calling out every pick in practice or games from now on. Even at half speed, that needs to be called out just to get in the habit. In high school we used to have to call screens in walk throughs just to make it automatic that every screen got called. HCBS may need to institute something similar if he is going to crank up the pressure.

@wrwlumpy I loved it that the refs ignored Smart’s dumb move. He’s one guy I just kind of hope ends up at the end of the bench and is finally resigned to playing for Western Tibet in the Kyrgyzstan pro league.
-
@wissoxfan83 I actually feel sorry for him. Let me have it! If he went to KU and had coach Self, these things would have never happened. It’s that Travis ford dude!
-
@wissoxfan83
Smart is a immensely talented player with a bad attitude and some baaaaad habits. The League will provide the medication for the flopping via fines.

@wrwlumpy : I put the video up for you because I loved it! Thank you for that link!!! Smart, being Smart. Looks as though he hasn’t changed a thing. Glad to see the refs didn’t fall for it either. Here’s hoping he gets fined!

“Here is what Marcus Smart was doing last night.”
The NBA needs to extend their anti-flopping fine into regular season games.
-
The anti-flopping rule is in effect the entire season not just the playoffs; it started with the 2012-2013 season. First time is a warning, second time is $5k, third time is $10k.
