Ok here’s the rules. NO Google, and no handy dandy all facts about KU basketball. Off the top of your mind.
Name the team KU scored the highest amount of points against. Do you know the amount of points KU scored against that team?

@DoubleDD I remember the 150 we put up against Kentucky. That’s all I can remember off the top of my head. I don’t know if that’s the most points we ever scored, but it was quite enjoyable. As far as who scored the most against us? I am not going to try to remember that one.

@KansasComet Without Google (Sheeeeeesh) - I’ve got to agree with you. I’m old enough, I remember listening to the game on radio (there was a TV blackout for some reason- figures) and I thought Max was going to have a heart attack calling that game. I believe the final was 150 - 95. As it should be.

Okay… okay… I cheated and Wiki’d ‘kryptonite’! You didn’t say we couldn’t use Wikipedia.
I’m a complete oaf without reference capabilities.
I’m going to say we beat the Salvation Army B-Team in 1906 with 243 points (against 41). The game came down to the wire… literally… a wire came in instructing all the players for the Salv to man a bell and hit local Macy stores for Santa donations. The game was tied 39-39 up to that point when the Army was left with only 3 players which consisted of the 69 yr old coach and two assistants, 13 and 14 years of age.
This was one of the few games Naismith felt sure of a victory in the final moments of the game.
“Pay Heed, All Who Enter: Beware of the Phog” came later… decades later. “Pay Heed, All Who Enter: Beware of the Bell” was the banner flown on the brand new Robinson Gymnasium (Jayhawk venue) in 1907 as a prank because of the massive beat down handed to the Salvation Army in the previous year. There were stories that the bells would return to avenge the loss so the warning on the building was aimed at future Kansas teams (and fans) not their opponents.
This story is almost completely true!

Think about this UK was 10 of 14 from 3 land and was shooting around 60% from the field at this point, and was still down in the game? (Beware of the Phog)

Watched it… Loved it! Reminded me that I have the BMA Classic poster from that year when Roy, Pritchard, Calloway, Gueldner, etc were decked out in western gear. They were a great team!

I really believe Calipari does not want to lose at home so he wants to schedule all the big games at big venues away from Rupp, it also brings in more money.
