Non-KU games

@kjayhawks chicken hawks!
-
@kjayhawks the game this year would be more competitive than in 2015. They brag about that game but that was, IMO, Selfs second worst team and finished with nine losses. They didn’t play good defense, offense was not good and they were pretty soft. They didn’t beat a very good team.
-
@HawkChamp I would think so as well, they shoot the lights out from 3 is my main concern from them.
-
@kjayhawks ya I hear ya, I don’t have a dislike for him either , hoping he can do well. - -There league is so poor though - I read an article I guess some pretty serious talk going on with them leaving the league - Like I think maybe the AAC is that right? - anyways glad to see him get back home, I didn’t realize he had to pay his own way to play there though, heard that today during their game. - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

To be fair, it is not like Frankamp quit but more like it was politely “suggested” to him that he might be better off somewhere else. Likely the same scenario with Greene although I could be wrong about him.
-
Florida Gulf Coast and Joe Dooley have punched their ticket for the second straight year!
-
You go…Joe!!!
-
Dooley should be getting some looks from bigger programs after this year. 4 years at FGCU, 2 regular season titles, 2 tournament titles, 21+ wins every year, and finished 2nd or better in the A-Sun all 4 years.
-
A good 2-4 year stint at a solid mid-major could be the springboard to a bigger program.

@Crimsonorblue22 Marsha is just not very smart-if so he’d have noticed that misery pissed HCBS off & will likely NEVER play Self’s team again.
-
@globaljaybird I agree - not a very good plan by Marsha. Should have tried to sweet talk a deal but just comes across as being too confrontational.
-
@HawkChamp he might do like he did last year, go look, no intentions of going, Koch bros kick in mo . Keep playin them?
-
@Crimsonorblue22 possibly
-
@kjayhawks joe and miles! Awesome guys! Winners.
-
@HawkChamp Those Canadians this Fall thought he was a just smartass little grease ball hick from Kansas.
-
@globaljaybird that’s the Marsha I know!

As I recall Frankamp was in line for big minutes. Self was talking small ball and Frankamp was going to be the first one off the bench. Frankamp just peed himself when he saw how good Devonte’ was and bailed.
-
Frankamp did not leave KU because he was afraid of the competition, he was asked to leave because of off the court issues; the kid deserves some privacy so I will just leave it at that.
-
@JayHawkFanToo Frankamp is a D-bag lush. Glad he’s gone. But that’s not the story that was reported.

The request for a meeting came on Wednesday morning, just five days before Kansas’ exhibition opener. In the hours before an afternoon basketball practice, sophomore guard Conner Frankamp and his father, Marty, met with KU coach Bill Self.
The Frankamps wanted to discuss Conner’s future at Kansas — and they wanted to do it quickly. The meeting took place on Wednesday afternoon, and the specific nature of the conversation is still unknown. But the end result was an early-season shock to the Kansas basketball program.
On Thursday morning, Frankamp, a Wichita native and the all-time leading scorer in Wichita history, was contacting Self again: He was leaving the KU program, and he was doing so immediately.
“It wasn’t anything that we wanted to have happen,” Self said on Friday, after announcing Frankamp’s departure earlier in the day. “He was part of our future plans, and certainly we anticipated him playing a much, much larger role this year.”
In a statement released by KU officials, Frankamp was clear and honest about his reasons for leaving. A 6-foot guard who played sparingly as a freshman, Frankamp was looking for assurances of ample playing time. When it became clear that might not be possible this season at Kansas, he decided to move on.

The “official” story and what actually happens are often not the same. The story, as reported, provided an easy out for both parties to part ways. You can draw your own conclusions.

LOL, just read this from another poster off another site. - -He ask the question and actually pretty good one at that. He asks wanting someone to tell him - -How does Duke lose 3 out of their last 4 and yet they move up in the polls from 17th - -to 14th - things that make you go hmmmm, - -ummm maybe because they are Duke - - ACC. go figure. - - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY
