Is the hangover over yet?

It’s been a week now since KU lost. We have all speculated as to why KU lost, who is to blame, and so on.
It’s been a rough week, playing if’s and but’s and the blame game. Basketball has continued to be played without Kansas, without North Carolina or Duke. It went on with teams like Dayton, Virginia and Kentucky. Where does that put Kansas?
It hurts to see a team like ours lose in the first weekend, it stirs up emotions of Bradley, Bucknell, and UNI, but it’s not the end of the world, we need to look forward now, the past is just that the past. We can’t change it without Doc and Marty, but we sure can complain about it.
So like any other hangover, lets get some fluids going, and move one with our day as rough as it may be.
Because if, if’s and but’s were candy and nuts we’d all have a merry Christmas.

@JRyman I think for a lot of us, the hangover won’t be over until November. Or at least until Late Night.
Maybe if KU football was something more to look forward to, that could be our Denny’s

My own personal hangover gets worse each day.
Immediately after the so called game, I was like, " Oh well, there’s loss number ten. Honey, let’s go get some Mexican food. "
But the more I think about it, and the more we all talk about it, the pissier I get.
Come on FOOTBALL !!

@nuleafjhawk my family is still and will be grieving til next season. It will get worse when we hear wigs and Embiids so long conference. Signing turner will help, but waiting forever could kill that hope too! But I’m not getting my hopes up this year for fb. Fell for that twice!

Time to move on and look forward to next season. We have two and maybe three top players coming in, several very capable returning players and the best coach in the business. The team could be even better. Perhaps this past season did not meet some fans standards and yes, we did not go far in the tournament, but by any objective criteria it was a very successful season.
What do we have to look forward to? At least another 25-30 wins, an 11th conference title, the unbelievable atmosphere of AFH, a high seed in next years NCAA, a team with the potential to win it all…How many fans form other programs can say that?..and we have it year in and year out.
Regardless of the early exit, KU is still one of the top prograsm with the rest looking up. Instead of being unhappy about what the team did not achieve, be happy for what it did; it is more than most programs dream of achieving.
