Well story even though back in the early 70’s when that was me - -you really didn’t have a lot of left hand pitchers, which was a bonus for me, got to go to Cincinnati’s farm system after a tryout at Butler County, went to the farm system- -but just didn’t work out couldn’t get over the hump, I guess I was looking for a quick hit - -the quick trip up and that just doesn’t happen, and of course you didn’t make near the money then as you do know, frustration set in and I dunno still frustrating.
A lot going on, getting married trying to settle into that - frustrated over not achieving where I wanted to be, - -I remember going back to my old high school watching a football game, and ran across my old Base ball or one of my old Coaches and he asks , says can I ask you a question - -so I say sure, and he says WHY didn’t you try a little longer maybe harder to hit your goal, make THAT major – and I couldn’t really give a solid answer, and he says well I know this he says I’ve seen a lot of players, coached a lot of pitchers - -and I’ve NEVER seen a pitcher be able to throw a curve like you make makes your break, - -and then your velocity was sweet, and it was great to get the compliment - but yet just brought back the frustration ya know lol – -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

Typically, for a PG you’d rather see the big numbers in assists instead of a points.
Depending on his size, he sounds like a better pick as a 2-guard.

Until UCLA faces a team with a REAL M2M defense! A hungry team fighting through screens, disrupting their flow and sticking to all their guys like glue.
That’s when UCLA will get exposed.
Their defense is subpar. I like UCLA… always have… but I don’t take them serious until they put up more on defense. They have time left and have the tools to become decent.

@drgnslayr teams can almost score at will inside against them. Our defense, while rated in the thirties, is not nearly as bad as theirs.

BTW… UCLA is being exposed right now at home by Oregon. Current score: Oregon 37, UCLA 18… with 6:15 left in the first half. Looks like Oregon might hang 100 on the Bruins on their home court.

@drgnslayr Imo, Oregon is the better team right now. But they started standing around with about eight minutes left and choked the game away.

@BShark Well, we are a “bad” matchup for UCLA, since we tend to emphasize defense, while also being a really good offensive team ourselves. Another bad matchup for UCLA would be OkieState, who play D, and are very highly ranked in offensive efficiency. See their W at WVU…
Now, in any 1 game, you/we/they can have an offshooting night, and not play up to our usual level, and that’s been what fells us in the Madness. Even 2008, when we barely got by Davidson…but utterly demolished UNC in the Final Four with both offense and defense.
Consider this year’s UCLA as an above average version of UNC. Ball is a special kid, saw them beat Oregon last night.

@ralster I think Walton has ate ONE to many protein bars or something. - -Really hard to try and concentrate on the game with his ramblings on & on. He spends more time about anything and everything OTHER then the ball game, you can watch the teams going up and down the floor and hell he may be talking about surfing or some other goofy crap. for sure, have heard him reference that league as Conference of champions- -have to laugh, and he really likes to emphasize that too lol. You have to give the other guy all kinds of props for putting up with him, I know I have watched various times and he is constantly trying to get Walton to try and maintain so kind of focus on the game being played – -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

@KUSTEVE He was also somehow hooked up with some sort of dissident group called the Symbeonise Liberation Army back in the 60’s, who if I recall, robbed banks & kidnapped Patty Hearst… Walton always has been “way out there” - Many thought he got a pass on that
