Our greatest game ever is now 4th best in 2016

  • I know these are just stupid articles, but our game with OU last year was being called the greatest game ever, greatest regular season ever, or whatever.

But now this guy has our game with OU 4th on the list. Vill-UNC #1, I understand. No argument.

But then Mid Tenn’s upset and TAM’s comeback over UNI get 2nd and 3rd nods? Not so sure about that. Memorable games too.

  • @wissox Chalk it up to the usual “no love” syndrome that KU suffers from. How a triple OT game between 2 number 1 ranked teams with a 42 pt outburst from what would be the POY, drops from first to fourth can only be attributed to east coast bias. Surprised we stayed that high.

  • @jaybate-1.0 Give em a kiss, then grab em by the groin, Father!

  • I honestly don’t think the Nova UNC game was better but I understand why its number 1, the OU game is easily one of the best games I’ve ever seen and I’ve watched literally thousands. Kinda like how the Ku Memphis is #1 for Ku tho the mentioned OU game and others like the final border war are better IMO, just didn’t have a NC on the line.

  • @kjayhawks I hear you kind of. Our 08 game was a classic for us. But it was a pretty ugly game. UNC/Nova had better offense as I recall and such a spectacular ending that it rises above. 2 & 3 on that list were notable for choking. That doesn’t make them better than our game.

  • @wissox yes our game was better because it was back and fourth. Wasn’t a comeback, but a battle thru out.

  • @kjayhawks in your opinion it was better. In my opinion unc/nova was still better. Merry Christmas!

  • @Crimsonorblue22 in your opinion it was better. In my opinion unc/nova was still better. Merry Christmas!

  • @wissox Merry christmas👍 I was at the triple ot game👍 Border war👍X💯

  • Some writers are under the impression that a freak ending to a game as in Texas A&M and Northern Iowa or a big upset as in Middle Tennessee over Michigan State make them great games; they do not and they are not necessarily great or even good games.

I am sure that no one would call the big VCU upset over KU a great game or even a good game; yes, it was a big upset but as games go it was pretty forgettable…other that it became the big item on Smart’s resume and created the bogus legend of Shaka which we know is all smoke and mirrors.

  • The NC game this year was better because both teams were making plays at the end. The KU-OU game was very good, but the play making down the stretch in each overtime was disappointing. The last minute of the NC game was incredible because of the shotmaking and playmaking on both sides. The game was won because Villanova had the ball last and had the chance to make one more play.

The A&M-UNI game was a crazy ending, but it wasn’t a “great game.” Without that ending, no one even remembers that game.

The MSU-MTSU game was pretty good, but the play making wasn’t incredible. It was a “really good” game.

I would actually rank the UNC-UK game from a couple weeks ago third behind UNC-Nova and OU-KU. That game was back and forth with exceptional playmaking on both sides, amazing shotmaking, adjustments from both sides, etc. A lot of the other games on the list had great endings, but you could pick them up in the last two minutes. Those three games I would rank at the top were great throughout, to the point that you didn’t want to miss the next minute at any point.

  • @wissox

Is that just the guy’s own blog? Something anyone can do?

Doesn’t this qualify as FAKE NEWS?

  • @drgnslayr PHOF! He’s a paid yahoo writer or we could say he’s just a yahoo.
