Texass lost to Arkansas. Going to watch UT volleyball vs Stanford now. Everyone stay warm. Anyone else see Kevin Young in the seats several rows up from the bench? When they showed Coach one time you could see KY and he had big ol glasses on.

@brooksmd There are a few that always come across like that. Even when they change their name every year or 2, I’ll still remember them cause they’re & have been steady & consistent whiners. Is why sometimes I lay low from game chats.

@wissox Lol, yeah talked to my sis in Topeka and she’s complaining about the cold, icy streets. I worked the range today and told her I had to take a shower when I got home as I was sweaty and sticky. Been tryin’ to get her to move down here but she won’t. No sorry feelin’ here.

A few post game observations…
Who invited Mr. Fool’s Gold to this game? Kudos to whoever kicked him out at half time.
I know the program runs a big surplus…why can it use some of this money and pay the refs like everybody seems to be doing so KU does not get screwed? Zenger needs to make sure the checks clear on time instead of trying to figure out new ways to black out games for Jayhawk fans.
I wonder how Missurians feel watching the premier arena in the State sporting a gigantic Jayhawk in the center of the court and a full house…do they even have a floor with a tiger or is that too much to ask for a team that will only draft a couple of thousand fans?
Inquiring minds want to know.

@globaljaybird I have come to realize that this team will only play defense - championship defense - when they need to. Remember the Siena game a month ago? Turned a five point game into a twenty point blowout in a couple minutes. Frustrating to watch, but I am waiting when they decide to play for forty minutes at Rupp.

Can confirm! Also lots of snow on the ground last I looked.
When I was driving Friday I saw an elderly black man slip and fall. Immediately stopped and made sure he was okay. Nothing broken at least and he was able to dust it off and walk on. It was scary to see though.

I know. I am curious to know what they think since MU joined the SEC and its major sports program took a dive…I think they still have a decent men’s wrestling program, the sport where sweaty men in tights roll on the floor grabbing each other…

We wore them down. Their second half was a disaster caused mostly by our defense stepping up. But all that KU energy caught up with the Mildcats. After a while you could see their spirit leave. They didn’t give up, but they definitely backed down. Trey shots really looked bad that second half, too.
Our pace got to them. Pushing pace can take a toll on good trey shooting teams that aren’t used to the fast pace.
Davidson is a solid team and they are going to make some noise this year. Glad to see them bringing in good talent again… proof they are more than just the ghost of Steph Curry.
