@wissox yep. They fattened up on cupcakes and got away with just running every game and didn’t have to play in the half court. Kentucky has a hard time scoring in the half court and UCLA didn’t allow them to run.

well this will put the UK being #1 into perspective. gave everyone in that program false sense of what they were. Still a good team but lots of flaws that can be exploited by a team like UCLA that made shots

I don’t think they are top 10 this year, last year, the year before that, etc. They R consistently in the 12 - 18 range probably. The big 12 championship streak is a joke. It is fake. In every big 12 game the opposing team gets treated just like MSU did at Duke the other night. Big 12 “Officials” are afraid to make calls against KU. I don’t know why, but is is good for atleast 3 wins a year in conference play. For the most part, that changes in the tournament evidenced by the multitude of upsets & lack of living up to their annual overseed. Chickenhawk players seldom make any impact professionally, which further fortifies my point that the KU program is not elite & does not deserve, in any way, to be included in the discussion of NCAA championship contenders in this year or any other.

@BeddieKU23 YES!!! I knew they’d REALLY have a tough time with UCLA. Its ok tho cuz KU bout to beat them on their home court next month. SEC is not as tough as Big 12 and UK had an easy peasy lemon sqeezy schedule, and UK is full of frosh and sophs

If UK plays like they did today it will be surprising if KU doesn’t pull out a W but UCLA also got a lot of solid post play from Leaf/Welsch/Big Ike that KU simply doesn’t have right now.
The atmosphere for that game will also be completely different. It’s a toss up game especially in Rupp.
