Indians vs Cubs -- Game 3 -- The Wait Is Over
-
Bats need to wake up @globaljaybird i watched until about that Zobrist at bat. That was a killer, youre right.
-
I will preface my post by saying I really don’t follow baseball that much other than the Royals. Why is it that the cubs get so much love and Cleveland so little? I like Chicago a lot but Chicagoans can be pretty obnoxious and if the Cubs win they would be insufferable for a long time.
I have no dog in this fight but I think I favor Cleveland just because they are in the AL and I like tradition…and the Cubs not winning is…well…a tradition…
-
@JayHawkFanToo I am not obnoxious. Deplorable, yes, but not obnoxious. After as a kid I discovered MLB and the Cubs in my early years I also found the White Sox. And I always cheered for both. But as I grew older, check that, mature, I discovered just how obnoxious White Sox fans are. Case in point @wissoxfan83. Cubs, Wrigley Field and losing over the years have become synonymous. And if you want to talk abnoxious, listen to that stupid drum that a Cleveland fan beats the whole game. That’s obnoxious. Besides, what’s a Cub? A cute, lovable baby bear.
-
@brooksmd But, just think: In a few years the Black Sox will celebrate a centennial anniversary that no other fan base has to endure! The Cubs at least when they lost were still trying when they lost–they didn’t throw it!
-
@brooksmd Just wish they’d at least win one at - players are so overpaid they don’t mean squat… Longsuffering Cubs fans at least need a victory before spending all that $$$ going back to Cleveland. More $$$ than brains IMHO… Only a half dozen or less have come back from 3-1, ️ But one of those were the 85 KC ROYALS … it is a rare happening for sure Pops, but then that what’s history is for… GO CUBBIES !!!
-
Tribe off to an early one run lead on Lester & there ain’t no joy in mudville tonite if the Cubbies don’t pull out da win & send this thing back to Ohio from da Windy City … Damn shame no one ️ n the NL can hit a change up to or a curve…
-
@globaljaybird 1-1
-
3-1 zo’s team
-
@Crimsonorblue22 Just outta da shower shazaam - musta been BZO
-
@globaljaybird Damn, Maddon pulled Ross out of what could be the last game of his career.
-
That was awesome
-
@Crimsonorblue22 It’s really time for using an electronic strike zone. These 6 umps are supposed to be the best of the best, but each has their own strike zone.
-
If they can just get the series back to Cleveland and get Schwarber back in the lineup as the DH, with Arrieta on Tues and Hendricks on Wed and the Cub bats come alive, they have a chance as small as it is. Cause the Tribe will have Kluber going in Game 7 if necessary.
-
And MLB has to do something about this time deal. Everything they did to shorten game time seems like its made it longer.
-
Obviously all the hype didn’t do Baez any good. His WS has been abysmal at the plate.
-
I’ll be watching the other Crimson and blue team tues. bigger ball
-
Go Cubs Go, hey Chicago what you say, Cubs are gonna win today!
-
Hey Chicago!
-
I was at my nieces wedding today so I haven’t had a chance to respond to the insults I’ve had to endure here and I won’t, it was a fun day a a good game and Cub fans are a bunch of dweebs
-
@wissoxfan83
-
@wissoxfan83 Guess I should’ve added a “FU” to indicate funny. Where was the wedding? BR or up north?
-
@brooksmd sitting at Ohare right now if that’s a clue. Well played on the fu thing!
-
@wissoxfan83 Well have a safe flight.
-
I was referring to the baseball fans in the City of Chicago…they are a pretty obnoxious bunch, I found the Bulls fans to be much better and do they actually have quite a bit to brag about…LOL.
-
@JayHawkFanToo If you’re an avid sports fan there iust is no place better than Chicago. NY may be just as good, but not any better IMO. Another case in ️ point - Notre Dame football is less than miles away & that is equal to region unto itself in that part of our country. Maybe only those who have lived close to there will relate to my description but game day in Southbend is like no place else in America…Residents everywhere rent out their tiny little yards out for parking & tailgating… It is an absolutely insane sight seeing grandmas out with their beer mugs drinking from a keg the partiers have paid to camp out on her porch … And don’t forget the “vomit comet” daily between Chitown & Southbend- leave the driving to them so you’re on your own to puke all ya have to… It truly is an insane phenomenon of Biblical proportions!!!
-
@globaljaybird Sounds like my experience when I used to go to Indy for the Brickyard. Met some nice elderly people who turned their yards into parking lots. The old ladies were always the most fun to hangout and visit with before and after. I remember one old man we paid for 3 days parking and he gave us a card and said don’t lose this cuz my memory ain’t what it used to be and if you don’t have that card I may not let you park here. His memory was good enough to know what he had with an original Shelby Cobra in the garage. I think everybody who parked in his yard tried to get him to sell it.
-
@brooksmd Tsk, tsk pops, we ain’t that far behind him… JK- for @wissoxfan83 !!
