  I’m ready. I’ve been ready since summer. Now things starting to speed up a bit. Love it, been watching other games, now ready to watch the boys go for three nights, hope we preform well. ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BAY. One little side note for the ones that think the sky is falling, just remember that the Nu 1, 4,5, & 9 all lost plus probably a few more also soo it’s not just us, it’s early REALY early, like 2nd game in the season early nad yet to have our boy help with the rim and boards , we will be fine

  You may not like what AsadZ has to say, and you can even dismiss him/her as not knowing. You can even call him/her names. Yet the fact is he’s/she’s speaking a point of view that is gaining favor among the KU faithful. LIke it or not he’s not alone.

  I don’t care about UNC. I care about KU. I want our program to be on top. I want to see FF banners and more NCs. I want fair treatment with players. I don’t want to see double standards. I want our coach to be flexible and better utilize the talent and arsenal available to him and not get stuck with old ways.

  If you played young guys this year it would be the ones with the highest ceilings and have the most talent other than Mason and Ellis. If Diallo could play, then the other 3 guys with the most talent are Bragg, Svi (who just turned 18 …) and Vick.

  @Second-Prize It would be bad… but wasn’t that the year after Calipari won his first and only NC? I’m pretty sure most in here would like the idea of winning a NC then following it up in the NIT, versus no NC but continuing our tournament streak. The freaking out from just one bad game relates to what people experienced being very similar to what our team was like at the end of last year. It was frustrating last year and it is frustrating now. The season has just started and fans are feeling deflated. That isn’t a good thing at Kansas. We need to feel like we can win it all but instead fans got an instant repeat of last year already.

  @DoubleDD Oh it HAS to go on Self. Like I said earlier, I agree with almost everything said against Self. I only worry we are putting Self, one of the best (if not the best) coaches in Kansas history on the hot seat because of two seasons. Three years removed from one of the best coaching jobs in history and we are rushing in with pitch forks and torches. The fact people honestly think KU would be better without Self is absolutely absurd. MSU makes it to the Final 4 in 2005. Then through 06-08 they lose in the 1st round, 2nd round, and sweet 16. Were people calling for Izzo’s head? If so, they should be ashamed now. I have said this before and I’ll say it again. We are in for a rude awakening when Self leaves. We are spoiled little brats (including myself) who throw fits when we don’t make a final 4.

  We have “only” won 3 NCAA titles since our first NCAA appearance in 1940…but having won our most recent in 2008 just doesn’t cut it. We have “only” been to 14 Final Fours since 1940…but have been to two since 2008…just doesn’t cut it! Self is “only” 27-11 (70.1%) as a KU coach in the NCAA tournament…and that includes two 0-1 and three 1-1 performances…but he’s all washed up…hasn’t been to a final four in the past three seasons! @jayballer54 nailed it…SPOILED! And oh by the way the Bucknell & Bradley debacles that was the last “apocalypse” that we endured were sandwiched by Elite 8 runs…and we won the title two seasons after the Bradley loss. Take a deep breathe, show some patience as we wade through these devastatingmy disappointing 26-28 win seasons ., show your head coach the respect he has undoubtedly earned…and enjoy the ride.

  Our odds of signing him are better than they were on Monday. That said, he could still commit tomorrow if he wanted to, but he’d have to wait until the spring to sign his LOI.
