Should be interesting to see how the TT win @ AZ and our loss @ ISU plays out. Houston still wins.. BYU needs OT to get by Colorado in Provo. WVU knocks off UCF in Orlando. Pretty eventful day. Houston is at the top, for now. Are they a #1 seed?

@Tallturd1 Kohl is just way too sped up right now, he hot potato’s it up with a shot. I thought Flory and Tiller both played tired. Flory finished the game strong but had very little stats 3/4s of the way thru the game. I feel like we go how our big go. I wouldn’t say we had an effort issue outside of DP but man we just didn’t play with any toughness or smarts imo. We have to settle down the insane amount of block attempts right now. I think about 6 times we had Flory, Tiller and a guard go for a block, whiff on it leading to an easy put back for ISU.

This was a similar DP to what I saw Saturday, just going thru the motions with little effort. We are a better team without him going forward if this is the type of effort he is going to put forth. I’ve been very patient with him but this is disappointing to see. Just quit if you don’t want to be here dude. Boozer and Wilson play hard, we have got to start recruiting the right guys. We did good in the portal this year but our prized recruit is just here to be here.

Happy to see Flory not swatting stuff out of bounds recently. I think he's realized it's more humiliating to an opponent to spike it to himself or a teammate. Really made a difference as far as stops go. He's been brilliant... kind of starts slow, but he sort of gets a feel for the how the game's being called before unleashing the full Flory. Edited to add... Flory and Council down the stretch are unstoppable. They have an extra tank of energy or something. So fun to watch.

@drgnslayr Flory shut down AJ to start the BYU game and shut down Toppin to the tune of 10 points from the reigning Big 12 PPY, He is a better athlete than Rodman and really better all around. With Tiller having more impact almost each game on both ends and too big for other four's and with a stroke once he can tame it look out. The coaches are urging him to shoot from deep and mid range you can tell. When Tre and Melvin got used to the freedom on offense and the modified switching on defense, which is actually getting better, there's not a weak link anymore. It will be interesting how we handle Utah and hopefully get court time and shot attempts beyond Elmarko and Jamari. DP doesn't act like a freshman and you don't get as skilled and polished as he is without putting in endless practice hours. How good is Zona anyway that's what I want to see. There are some trap games like OSU and Cincy still to come.

@kjayhawks2.0 Yeah health is this team's only major weakness lol. That and would like a more consistent bench, but both Mari and Elmarko have shown they can make an impact at times.

@mayjay I have assumed for quite some time that Flory would not he high on NBA draft boards due to the fact that he is undersized for a center and has no outside shot. But if he is projected to go in the first round then I guess I am wrong and Flory is probably gone after this season.

And and and if you guys treat this like a revenge game and take care of business you can dunk on em to finish it. You can earn that.

We didn't get up by 20 at the half just because of DP. Saunders didn't just fall out of a tree in the second. 24 in a half is a fluke and probably made him some money later

I think this is a home run hire by KC. Definitely a downgrade from the likes of A&M and Maryland but at Turg’s age I’m sure doing something like this close to home was a big selling point. I see zero realistic chance he replaces Bill Self, he is only a few years younger. Obviously with that being said Self could step down anytime with health concerns. I just don’t see Turg as a guy we would pursue to replace him. Would be great to see him lead that club to the NCAA tournament. People forget how dead the that WSU program was before he stepped in.

I always agree with Self on calls like that, you get some you maybe shouldn’t and then don’t get some you should. It’s ends up balancing out by the end of the year. To my point Flory got slapped in the face and put in a headlock in Manhattan while Melvin was called for a foul for getting elbows hard enough to draw blood. It was one call that horse has already been beaten to death. I’m ready to move on.

@ROCKCHALK2025 Yeah he got the best of him in HS. Now let's see how this round goes.. DP isn't 100% so hopefully he doesn't try to do too much if he isn't physically able to.
