@betterfireE I’m not convinced that we have a good scheme for 4-1 as a standard formation. I suppose drive and dish, but are we a better 3 point shooting team than last year? Will Self actually make that transition? IDK

@BigBad me too. My daughter, who stayed up to watch doesn’t like passionate discussion, wanted me to “calm down”. My wife agreed but was also asking if we saw any personnel changes.

Typical clueless, bureaucratic response from some one that has no clue. At this point they have no choice but to toe the line Zenger has drawn on the sand…regardless of how silly it is. I wonder if he has ever considered that the audience that misses just one basketball game in the KC Metro Area alone is larger than the entire audience for all that other programming for an entire year he so proudly mentions. If he wants to promote other sports, why are the women’s basketball and women’s volleyball games also blacked out? and why only in the state of Kansas? Are we, residents of the state and tax payers not entitled to watch what out-of-staters can?

Thanks to superstition I won’t be here for anymore games discussions. It’ all right though judging by the hand ringing and mud slinging from one loss in November. I remember when we used to talk about the great things that KU does…

For what it’s worth I average a Walmart trip about once every 24 months and those were trips to locate LARGE out door Christmas Bulbs that hung from out Door trees-I finally located them at Home Depot

@JayHawkFanToo Completely agree on Hoiberg. I doubt he ever pursues the NBA. However, if he were asked to coach the national team, he may consider it (I don’t know enough about the current state of his health), and his style of coaching is a better fit than Self’s style. @Lulufulu The University Games team was selected based on colleges that expressed interest in competing. KU was selected over the other applicants. Because this isn’t a team selected from around the country, I think it is a different sort of thing. Perhaps USA Basketball will use this to evaluate Coach Self for a future role, but I think the guys I listed yesterday have the inside track, particularly Donovan. I agree that he and Pop are close, but Jerry Colangelo is currently on the Board of Directors, along with Chauncey Billups and others. They will select a new board after next year’s Olympics, but the current board make up doesn’t give Self the inside track.
